“We see in the governor’s proposed budget that he wants $4 million and 18 new law-enforcement positions to enforce a ban on commonly-owned firearms,” said Gun Owners of America Senior Vice President Erich Pratt.

Local Law Enforcement will have them detained if they come into their district.

I hope he has enough left over for 18 life insurance policies.

NRA lifer. I joined GOA last week. I recommend you do the same. The left seems to be hell bent on creating a confrontation in Virginia.

Time to invest in tar and feathers. Assemble the citzenry, and literally tar and feather their asses, then tie them to a log or rail and send it down a river/stream/creek.

This has the makings of an impressive standoff. The Governor is putting himself squarely against the 2nd Amendment and a majority of local law enforcement officers with this legislation and now he's going to try to double down by creating new LEO positions to try to end-run around local LEOs.

This is looking like it's headed for a Cliven Bundy level of a standoff, but on steroids.

I’ve always been a state’s rights guy.

However, I didn’t think about the possibility of liberals, foreigners, and liberal foreigners moving in in numbers to take over a state and squash the will of the state’s native population.

This is a tough one.

I’m guessing that someone told Gov Blackface that he couldn’t use the Virginia Guard to try and confiscate guns because one order from President Trump and he would lose control of it. So now he’s looking for a state level paramilitary force to do it that isn’t subject to being federalized.

He needs 18 management positions to oversee the work done by the UN's "Disarmament and Reintegration Officers"?

If they try this I will go to Virginia. We need to stop this at the very beginning and let them know we aren't moving an inch. If it means dying for my fellow countrymen, well im alright with that.

18 guys isn’t enough to disarm your average rap artist, let alone a whole state.

Good luck finding people willing to confiscate guns from hostile gun owners.

This is some modern day Pinkerton shite except this time the populace is armed to the teeth.

This gov needs to be removed from office before his virtue signaling gets his head blown off along with many more people.

I cant imagine anyone who would want to be on this force because you know it will be diverse so your gonna have at least a hand full of women. Basically means there will be about 12 guys whose job it will be to forcibly remove guns from folks who dont want to give them up. You would be safer in Afghanistan.
