Absolutely. They want those privately owned guns. They intend to take them.

We let them take our weapons.......we're screwed.

Hopefully VA has laws similar to TX, where any officer involved shooting goes before a grand jury.

I'm sure they're running all over one another to land a piece of that gig.

Is this the same guy that got caught in black face? If so is he just doing all of this to get back in the good graces of the dems?

They aren't criminals because they are abiding the law, a little thing called the 2nd Amendment. Which supercedes any bullshite state law.

Yep that's governor blackface. I'm feeling his reasoning is more than just getting back into good graces but to really test how far they can go and how much push back they will face. I think Virginia is a test bed for dem gun control and we are going to see how it falls out.

Interesting that a questionable source like the Washington Examiner is the only outlet reporting this purported “story.”

No links or details re the purported legislation OR the purported budget items. Hence, no way to verify the hysterics. That lack of detail indicates that neither does what the article claims.

Perhaps one of our resident Chicken Little cadre can link the actual legislation, so we can discuss reality.

Chances that tons of NRA/GOA/JPFO members come in from out of state to support the locals?

The chance is high.

I exchanged emails with a board member of the VCDL. She said lots of interest nationwide.

I know this won't be popular, but I'm highly skeptical of the "new" 18 person team carrying pricetag of $4mil.

I found a download from state dept of public safety and homeland security in the OP article that includes a line item chart that indicating what looks like the same budget proposal of 9 positions and assiciated cost for each year from 2017 through 2022. Each year shows those 9 positions and approx. $2mil cost for those 9, per year. Years 2021 and 2022 are bolded, I assume because those are the forward-looking years in the proposed budget. 2021 and 2022 carry the same numbers....9 positions at approx $2mil.

Long story short, I'm of the thinking that someone just added up the 2021 and 2022 line items which not so coincidentally adds up to 18 positions and right at $4mil. Problem is, if you added, say, 2017 and 2018 lines together....again, 18 positions at $4mil.

JMO, there is actually no change to budget in this instance. I could be wrong about that, and I don't like the smell of what's going on up there myself...but I want to be considering fully accurate facts.

What makes Wash Examiner questionable?

What makes NY times and Wash Post non-questionable?
