FTR I'm not claiming the killer is Jason fricking Bourne. I'm making a claim that he's killed plenty of people with a pistol based on:

- body language
- calmness handling a jamming firearm
- the fact that he's still on the run in NYC

Just commenting on what we’re seeing. I don’t think anyone here is an expert.

Yeah, that's what we're doing. Definitely not watching the video and giving our opinions about what we are seeing. Not that. Definitely.

Exactly, with the exception of using a silencer, everything you just described is exactly what Gary Plauche did. And he was no professional hitman. He was father avenging his son. Which can be just as dangerous as a professional hitman.

I mean what is the person going to do?

Best thing to do is stay out of it and not bring attention to yourself.

not used to what a suppressor does to the gas system. Not a pro, not a newb.

Semi auto pistols do not use gas to cycle.

The added mass on the end of the barrel is what causes cycling problems.

shooter looked like he'd done that.... plenty of times.
Yep.
Plus, he was using a silencer.

Witnesses said he shot twice. Looked like the gun jammed. But the crime scene had 6 or 7 markers ID'ing what look to be shell casings.

Found what looks similar to the pistol the assassin used. It's based off an old WWII assassins' pistol called the Welrod.

B&T VP9 (9mm) recoilweb.com

quote:

It’s so quiet that we were inspired to make a list of things louder than the VP9.

•Opening a bag of chips
•Slapping a challenge coin on the bar
•Dropping the bolt on an AR
•Grasshoppers
•Dropping a brick on a grasshopper
•A conversation between Chris Tucker and Roseanne Barr in a library
•Losing an NFA item in a boating accident
•A dog aggressively licking his balls
•Cries of help from Jeffrey Epstein’s cell

Maybe this is why it jammed. He didn't read this review...

quote:

We had two issues with the pistol — one we take credit for, the other we put in B&T’s court. Immediately after shooting the Winchester hollow points, the otherwise reliable pistol stopped sending bullets. Unfired rounds revealed centered, but just a little light, primer strikes. We left the range, went home and cleaned the bolt, returned the next day, and ran 150 rounds of mixed ammo through both cans without a stoppage. Near as we can tell, the hollow point shredded a wipe and the backpressure of the reload might have sucked a chunk of rubber into the action, finding its way into the striker channel and slightly slowing or shortening the striker stroke.

Suppressors increase back pressure in any firearm. It can still effect the slide cycle and result in jams.

IMO the shooter is a family member of someone who was denied by United, with a resultant poor outcome.

Somone mentioned it earlier, but I'll bring it up again. I didn't see any casings being ejected, could be crappy video in the dark and I missed it, but I don't see any.

I’ve seen pictures of a bolt action multi shot silenced .45ACP. Maybe that.

I just mentioned to a friend that the only time I had seen something like that was Gary Plauche. This was planned and there was some massive hate behind it (whether the shooter's or whoever paid him).

No. This was a hired hit having something to do with the DOJ investigation

Right, so why try to run subsonic through a semi-auto if you're a pro? Why worry about subsonic if you have a suppressed semi-auto, especially if you are going to do the deed in front of God and everybody?
