In the House, barely. There are 218 Republicans in the House, it takes 218 to pass a spending bill, and Massie is an automatic No Vote.
In the Senate, Senators Susan Collins, Rand Paul, and Thom Tillis are automatic NO Votes, which means Vance has to break 50-50 ties.
That's where being President comes in you have to know how to not only work with but negotiate and strong arm congress as well. For example, do you think LBJ would have put up with such? Do you think LBJ wouldn't have been able to get SAVE Act passed? Trump in reality isn't a great or even good negotiator. He's mediocre and lazy.

MAGA doesn't care about facts. As long as Daddy Trump tells them we are doing great, they are going to eat it up with a spoon.

Sadly there is a lot of truth to this. We have people sky screaming in here blaming the democrats for all of this as if republicans aren't in control.

DOGE could only analyze allocated spending. It couldn't affect the deficit.
Spending that is allocated doesn't impact the deficit? Don't be dumb.

DOGE has no impact on the allocation. Only Congress can do that.
Any spending DOGE stopped is still in the process of allocation (printing/spending) and, instead of going to the allocation, just sits in accounts instead.
The money is still borrowed, which means it impacts the deficit.

Yea ... will continue to blather until after the midterm elections are completed ... and the new Congress is safely and constitutionally in place on Jan. 6, 2027 (no shenanigans, Insurrection or martial law, please).

The OP discussed the deficit and then sarcastically pointed out that DOGE would fix it.
I offered an opinion that we have a large contingent of politicians that don't care about the deficit and that their opposition to DOGE was evidence of that.
To be clearer for you, I will explicitly suggest that having politicians that don't care about fraud, waste, or abuse...or the deficit at all is indicative of how a government finds itself in a 2T hole each year.

Got to reform social security
SS and CMS budgets need addressing.
However, can we focus first on the 65% of the budget currently in the red, instead of the areas actually lending those red items money, and which will remain in the black for 7 more years?

FFS, if there is ever a question of whether you think like a liberal this is it.
The obvious intent of DOGE (successful or not) was to identify spending that was not needed, fraudulent, etc. so that it could be reallocated. Your comment above suggests that nothing DOGE ever could have done could have been helpful.
That's a retarded level of thinking and is indicative of someone who can't see the forest through the trees.

Democrats openly opposed and interfered in DOGE's efforts.
O.k.
Republicans had the House, the Senate, and the WH.
I know who I think is responsible.

Doge was an utter disaster anf it stole most federal employees and military info. Then sold it
How would exactly would a federal agency steal info from federal employees and military when federal agencies already know that info?
