How do you lower inflation with lower interest rate? Serious question because I would like to have the economy of lower interest rates but I absolutely do not want the insane inflation we are still paying for today from low interest rates.

A little good, a little bad.
We're on track to have a $2T deficit this year, with none in the forecastable future being below $1.5T. Slashing rates in that sort of environment is to make 3% inflation the norm (at the least).
The bottom line is our economy is fricked because everyone keeps kicking the deficit can down the road. The problem is that the longer it keeps getting kicked, the bigger it gets. Eventually it won't be able to be kicked any longer and the shitstorm which will come with that will dwarf the problems curbing spending would have caused years earlier.
