The fact is iran has a fractured government.
You have the politicians and you have the regular army and you have the IRGC.
The irgc Oz the crazy ones. They are the majority of the guys we killed.
They are fractured and divided. The irgc is the most savage part of the army and also the basic and other Islamic fighters who have come to help.
These are the crazy religious guys that few in iran like.
Then you have the political class. There is some overlap with the irgc here but a lot of them have been killed. Those big level guys not killed have already been talked to likely and many are willing to deal top sign a peace accord give over power and get out. No doubt some of these guys will be paid off to do so but that is fine.
Then you have the regular army. I believe that many of the army is already bought and paid for and if the situation arises they will support the political class against the irgc, the basij, and the foreign Islamic fighters.
I can actually see our air force supporting the army and the rest of Iran to take our the irgc.

I believe a deal could be signed.
I also 100% believe that Iran will break the deal within 36 hours. Isreal could also do some shenanigans of their own and cause it to fall apart.
Est quod est.
On the bright side, many of Iran's neighbors are feeling very opportunistic and could ensure that a deal stays in place.

No he's not. If he was, he would not announce it. He would tell his friends, but nobody else, and then sign the deal.
He is using public announcements to pressure the Iranians. Not only does the leadership know what's gonna happen if they don't agree to terms, but the families of the leadership, their friends, and the entire population knows. That is a lot of people bringing pressure to bear on the Iranian leadership - many of whom aren't that secure in their own leadership, since their boss and their bosses boss are dead.
