There is a lot of contradictory reporting coming out about this thing. From both sides. From our side first it was said that Vance would be going, then they said no he isn't, then they said he was and they were en route. Then, come to find out, no, he isn't. He is still here stateside. It's strange. I'm sure they have a reason for it though. My best guess is that there was a plot afoot and they were trying to flush people out.

I shudder to think about what Trump would do if anything happened to our diplomats over there. It would draw Pakistan under the scope too.

They are clearly both lying. There is gamesmanship at play from both sides. I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise. Both sides are going to use the media to their advantage for negotiations.

So on Sunday Trump announced that Iran had agreed to all of our demands. On Monday he said peace deal would be signed "tonight". Then he said that our negotiating team was in Pakistan. Then he said that they would be leaving Washington "very soon". Then he said they had never left Washington and the trip was off.
All the while the Iranians have been consistent in saying they would not be sending a negotiating team to Pakistan.
Can you explain how Trump used the media to his advantage in this case?
