Trump just goofing for his base.

The only outcome of all this race stuff is motivating the other side to the polls.

As I’ve said before, the best gift the democrats have in this election, up and down the ballot, is Donald Trump.

That makes 3 lefties so far.

The rest avoid answering that simple question. By doing so, it’s rather telling imho.

Good on you for answering it.

You like this move by Trump questioning her blackness and applying a racial purity test to her?

I like it when the association of black female sky screamers asks a racially charged question, using her blackness as a shield from criticism.

OK? My father moved us around to temp jobs at various refineries and chemical plants in industrial cities. None of the cities were as nice as Middletown with a public school funded by Ford motor company. And then he went to Yale?

He went to Ohio State on the GI Bill, and went to Yale because he graduated Summa Cum Laude and utilized both scholarships and loans.

But I see your point. Most privileged kids go directly into the Marine Corps, then the state school on the GI bill and excel so they can then go to an Ivy League Law school, rather than just using family money to go wherever they want right off the bat.

Harris' dad was born in Jamaica and is referenced as an "Afro-Jamaican". Looks like a brotha to me.

She went to Howard University. Was in a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. "Indian Heritage". "Black Roots". She's all of the above.

No more concerned with how she identifies than with Trump claiming in the "Art Of The Deal" to be Swedish so as to not identify with the negative connotations of his German roots back then. He's German on the Dad side and Scottish on the mom side.

Trump Ancestry

But bottom line is: Who gives a shite. What's more important is policy statements and what the next President will do to improve the economy, control the border and associated crime, improve access to healthcare (which has been "promised" for years).

Recent rhetoric is self-defeating. To intentionally, or unintentionally inflame a necessary block of voters with rhetoric like that isn't going to endear you with them.

Is it wrong to point out that she changes her race when it is politically advantageous to her? This is bad?

It is to the people who still like to be politically correct. They are the ones who got us into this situation. Keeping your mouth shut is the best way to have your country taken from you.

She is just going to say that she is both Indian and black.

What is his response then?

Sure he can say she is playing identity politics but no one in the middle or the left gives a shite about that. This is a losing strategy.

I'm fine with that.

Now give me a tweet about the fake job numbers. Give me a tweet about gas prices.

The red meat is fine but we need some sides.

I understand and agree that political positions change over time, but this seems like someone who is indecisive or changes affiliation based on who/what can benefit him at the time.

Trump has changed his political party affiliation 5 times since he first registered as a member of the Republican Party in 1987.
1999 - he joined the Independence Party of New York. Then he declared himself a potential candidate for the Reform Party's presidential nomination for the 2000 election.
2001 - Trump became a Democrat — and remained one for eight years.
In a 2004 interview with CNN, he said that "in many cases" he identified more as a Democrat than Republican.
"It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans," he said.

I'll tell you what it will be: he'll latch onto it even further because Trump can't help but be himself. He'll harp on it to the point where it turns away suburban leaners or galvanizes support behind Harris because people understand why a biracial person would identify with one side or the other of their ancestry when it's convenient. It's not "faking" being black. It's essentially political code switching. People won't see it as inauthentic because Kamala IS both Indian and black.

And it’s amplified because it’s a WASP born on third base who’s doing it.

It’ll get guffaws from the fishing shirt crowd in his base, but it is going to alienate those in the middle he needs to win.

Shows just how disliked Hillary was.

And it still took Jill Stein syphoning votes in three states for Trump to pull out the win.

He's always been a bad candidate.

Policies are fine for the most part. He is the problem as he seems to enjoy making a large number of people despise him.

isn't it curious that in these past few election cycles everyone is rushing to claim black heritage? I thought blacks were persecuted, hunted, discriminated against, murdered by police, and systemically mistreated in every aspect of life. Why would anyone try so hard to be black if this was the case??
