Prior to politics he worked as an electrician's assistant in college, was a teacher for a while, and was in the military for 8 years. He has a pretty good base outside of the political realm.
His military work was very much in the political realm. I’m not even saying that as a put down.

In what world does a “cult” just instantly brush that off like nothing happened and run out to enthusiastically vote en masse for the guy who’s been sort of dishing on them all for the past year?

on them
There it is.

Whatever the bio may say, no one views Ron as a regular American turned politician. Perception is reality.

If Trump hadn’t schitt the bed, printed 8 trillion, and spent two years blowing Fauci, then sure, RD should let him try a solo run. But Trump did do that, fricked his electorate, and opened the door to others who HAVEN’T done that. So, nah

Now they are saying Pool is a paid Trump schill?
They are reaching new levels of pathetic each day

That was the plan but Desantis allowed the Big DC Donor class to get in his ear and head....sad.

While he’s more politician than ideal, half of America voted for a lifelong POS politician who’s indicative of everything that’s wrong in DC. DeSantis doesn’t connect for whatever reason but I don’t think it’s his career to this point.
We prefer President Camacho or a cookie cutter lifetime politician who are good at pretending to be a regular person over a competent executive, and it looks like we’re going to get our wish granted.

It really didnt matter. He is such a terrible campaigner. Taking on Trump head-to-head should tell you exactly how bad of a campaigner he actually is
He might have won the nom in '28, but would have ended up like Dole, McCain and Romney as just Republican fodder. His hate crimes bills, red flag law and bump stock enforcement, Napoleon syndrome, and fraudulently taking fed covid dollars to bolster his state budget wouldnt have sold in middle America
Kinda what youre actually seeing with his poll numbers now
It was always more about Casey running for 1st lady, than Ron for prez

Nope. Weak analysis by you. His "early donors" started to move away perhaps because he was/is "too conservative".

ould desantis gain the respect and fear from leaders like Putin, Xi, Kim jong,Netanyahu, Khamameni? No, he would not.
Is this implying that Trump was remotely respected on the world stage? Other than him saying he was is there any evidence of this?

I’m just trying to reconcile the narratives here, brah. The fact that you can’t recognize how out of whack they are is probably telling.

You are not the least bit embarrassed typing this out?

“Analysis” is far too generous. It’s fascinating to watch a narrative here just evolve into reality, as if any of them have a clue what went into his decision.
