You think the average Republican can tell you what Ron did before he was the governor of Florida? Because they can’t.

I’m just trying to reconcile the narratives here, brah. The fact that you can’t recognize how out of whack they are is probably telling.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. What’s telling, and the reason for my comment, is that you clowns identify with Trump. If someone questions Trump they’re really questioning you. It’s why you view someone running for office as some weird betrayal; you view it that way because Trump views it that way.

Easy to say now. Obviously he shoukd have waited.

But at the time he had to make his choice, I think a lot if ppl thought Trump might get cock blocked by the man.

Of course not. He didnt really accomplish anything of significance in the real world and has no money

Its why hes beholden to the donors and why that perception was so easy for Drumpf to tag him with

I’m fairly certain he accomplished more before the age of thirty than you will your entire life.

Just like trump has way more accomplishments than DeSantis by 30 and overall in life. Rob won’t be president, ever.

That's why the scenario where Trump loses in 2024 doesn't help RDS, either. RDS isn't the chosen MAGA successor, so he'd be literally in the same position (but in likely an even more polar time for MAGA)

I would vote for DeSantis over Trump. However, if DeSantis had chosen not to run and supported Trump, there is no reason to believe he would not be the "successor" in 2028. The whole "falling out" between the two is centered around DeSantis running, which requires them to bash each other.

Whether he could get elected is another thing, but he could've stayed in the Trump camp.

Yes. Trump has a much better resume in real estate development and the entertainment industry.

He thinks being President is a job in the entertainment industry. Luckily for him, there’s a significant portion of Republicans who agree.

I don’t think DeSantis has the chops. He will never be POTUS.

DeSantis has the chops to actually govern. Probably more so than Trump. He does not have the chops to win a national campaign. He is awkward at times.

Trump has the chops to win a national campaign (but will likely again get cheated out of victory) and some/most of the chops to govern. The only president since Reagan to display any governing chops. Trump did not have the chops to handle Covid properly. He totally caved on that one.

I would be embarrassed had I ever voted for Trump or planned on voting for Trump. I can walk the earth knowing I never thought that Q crap was real. Maybe someday I’ll join a cult like C45 who knows?

the fact is that he isn't made for the microscope of national politics.

In all seriousness, why? What makes you think this?

The other posters Bill vs Hillary comparison is a good example. Another factor that needs to be added in and remembered is that Desantis depended 100% on Trump supporters at the national level. Don't know who sold him on being able to steal a VERY large % of them, but that was a bad calculation and bad advice.

He had 2 options...stay cozy with Trump, wait and run in 28 and be handed his campaign infrastructure, which is far and away better than the RNCs and any other option, and handed 100% of his supporters. Or....

Get in in '24 and try to dethrone Trump and fight and scratch for his supporters while trying to build a national campaign infrastructure from scratch, cause no one has one other than Trump. Depending on the never Trump faction of the party, which is fickle.

He chose option 2 and we are seeing the results.

What? Now Trump isn't only responsible for DeSantis winning in 2016, which I have posted about previously I doubt, but now his national support is 100% dependent on Trump? Come on.

You understand the concept of talking about a bigger picture don’t you?

I mean, maybe not, but I never took you for being that big of a dolt.
