This is just the beginning. They finally succeeded.

Question: are state records covered under FOIA? If someone wanted to see Mitch's correspondence and the permits/contracts over this, could they file a request?

More Americans died and Civil War in any of the war we've been involved in. However the bloodiest war United States has been involved in was World War II, when you include Russian German Japanese French etc casualties

False. It was the bloodiest on US soil, but not the bloodiest that we ever got involved in.
I'm taking about in terms of American death. Union and Confederate combined.

Jackson was far "worse" in terms of slavery, etc. than Robert E. Lee in that Jackson held over 100 slaves at one point. He may receive cover as a POTUS, but I'd be shocked if he isn't legit in the crosshairs shortly.
Wilkinson, Claiborne, Jackson, etc. will all be on the list. It's absolute horseshite.

Jackson was in the crosshairs soon after this nonsense started. He'll be taken down eventually as well. Like I said, this is only the beginning.

People need to rally around Jackson if not Lee. I think Lee is worth fighting for but realistically Jackson is the one that can be saved.
I feel like the opponents of this entire operation could have negotiated a compromise that could have protected Jackson forever and Lee for another decade or so.

The funny part is that on the news this morning, the story following the statue removal segment was about another shooting. Seems like a certain group of people have their priorities mixed up

It seems so.

The Louisiana Public Records Act, also known as Louisiana's Sunshine Law, was enacted by the state’s legislature in 1940. Section LA 44.01.2(a) defines public records as, “All books, records, writings, accounts, letters and letter books, maps, drawings, photographs, cards, tapes, recordings, memorandum, and papers, and all copies, duplicates, photographs, including microfilm, or other reproductions thereof, or any other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, including information contained in electronic data processing equipment, having been used, being in use, or prepared, possessed, or retained for use in the conduct, transaction, or performance of any business, transaction, work, duty, or function which was conducted, transacted, or performed by or under the authority of the constitution or laws of this state, or by or under the authority of any ordinance, regulation, mandate, or order of any public body or concerning the receipt or payment of any money received or paid by or under the authority of the constitution or the laws of this state, are "public records", except as otherwise provided in this Chapter or the Constitution of Louisiana.”
Anyone can request public records and a purpose does not need to be stated. There are no restrictions on what can be done with the public documents once a records requester has them in hand. The custodian of the records must respond to requests within three days.

Exempt: Pending criminal litigation; juvenile status offenders; sexual offense victims; security procedures; trade secrets; and some public employee information.
The link provided has a sample request linked as well if anyone is interested.

Why do you want the statues removed?

So we're calling the army of the states that voted to peacefully leave the union and were invaded by the remaining states to preserve it insurrectionist? That's quite a standard for insurrectionist.

So their armies were insurrectionist, but their casualties count as "American" deaths. That's quite a double standard you've got there.

It's possible, but he's probably going (along with Jackson Square). These people don't stop once they start getting what they want and Mitch opened the floodgate.

My ancestors weren't in America yet, Suzie. You aren't smart enough to understand this, but the reason i don't want the statues ripped down, is because
A) it will solve absolutely nothing
B) black people don't really give a shite about it. The only people marching at the other statue were limp wristed pussy white liberals like yourself,
C) it shows the true ignorance that liberals have for history
D) you are essentially removing something because it offends your ill-conceived notions of history.
E) It's a diversion to keep your idolized leader in Mitch, from being exposed from his corruption.
I've said it before, i'll visit NOLA for the food, but the rest of that city is a liberal cesspool.
