Fair enough. That's a hard choice IMO. Both would literally bring me to the streets.

If the left really got their wish and started regulating everyone's lives, where could I go if I still wanted freedom?

You could make your last act of freedom the act of pummeling them with the “ cudgel “ of Free Speech and Iron. And who the frick uses the word cudgel?

I would like to live in a country, like England, where saying the wrong thing gets you thrown in jail. If I don't need to know about people grooming girls to be sexual playthings for men from "Asia"' then by God I don't want anyone to tell me about; and if they do, I want them thrown in jail.

That is the kind of country I want to live in.

I read that today and actually deposited a comment. A completely disingenuous article linking a legitimate concern I think even many trump voters share in regard to corporate money in politics to the free speech battle occurring online and in our academic institutions. It’s as if the nyt wants to see trump get re-elected.

A UK newspaper just called Paul Watson a "free speech extremist." Think about that for a second. Yes, I realize the UK has no 1st, but it's crazy people think you can be a freedom "extremist."

Anyway, the left in America has always detested the 1st (the entire constitution in fact), so I am glad they are now being honest about their police state attitudes.

In Europe, yes.

In America, not yet...

I predicted a few years ago that Free Speech was next on the progressive list to take down. They'll try to destroy the constitution one item after another.

As you know, I was virulently against Trump during the primary, and only reluctantly supported him during the general election, precisely because of his rhetoric - to me voicing the correct positions with extravagant and comical rhetoric.

BUT - I am coming to believe that it is precisely because of this quality that has driven the left-wing radical dysfunctionals to rip their clothes and set their hair on fire. He has been a blessing in disguise.

I have always love the man for his policies - I am beginning to warm up to his outlandish rhetoric.

I have never seen such open revelation of a group's inner thoughts and lack of perspective and truth as I have seen the left wing radicals spill out their evil guts.

In one way I am loving it - in another way it scares me that these bastards came so close to cementing they power - and may yet survive to implement their agenda.

We have to stamp out this malevolent virus. This mid-term is essential.

This may be their nucular option because Trump broke them. They lost their ability to reshape the courts and its falling down around the old socialists currently in power. These neauvo progs are "flummoxed". (Stolen from page one)

Charlottesville was a major inflectioni point in how they view speech (because the ACLU literally fought for the march)

now the same ACLU has backed off its belief in the 1st Amendment and progs have warped it into an institutional tool of oppression

While most of that article is disgusting I do agree with them on one point....

The Citizens United campaign finance ruling that said corporations can give unlimited amounts of money to political organizations based on the first amendment.

I disagree with that ruling. That’s a prime example of how the Supreme Court is giving itself power it shouldn’t have. The first amendment shouldn’t have anything to do with campaign finance.

We need campaign finance reform in this country in the worst way.
