Trump, Bondi, Patel and Bongino created this mess by the way they handled it.
They are the ones to blame for this mess. Total incompetence.

To me, either Trump is playing multidimensional chess (having the Dems call for the release of the files), or he is guilty of crimes related to Epstein.

We have 2 sides. Trump saying the evidence was altered by dems. And dems demanding the files be released immediately. Put those 2 together and the answer should be easy.
Personally, I trust Trump more than the democrats, but you do you.

I think both of those are highly, highly unlikely. I think it's possible that something very embarrassing (as opposed to illegal) might be found out but he seems to have kept Epstein at a distance once he found out how evil the guy was.
What's more likely, especially given this shift in direction, is that Trump found out something he didn't know and has been told to shut it down. He may not be guilty of anything contained in the evidence, he may just think this is too big to expose, so he has no choice but to gaslight us about the entire thing.

It was a cheap campaign promise to help him get elected. I don’t think the Trump administration anticipated people being obsessed over it 5 months later.
