Obviously the left was going to take advantage and pounce on an issue that’s been around for several years.
Trump Team would’ve been way better off had they just stayed lukewarm from the very outset with regards to speaking on the matter.
Because they initially talked it up so forcefully it only made it way worse than it ever had to be when they then came out saying there was nothing there.
I’ll never figure out the need to come out saying bold things unless you already know you can 100% deliver.
