MAGA is whatever Trump does, so.....yeah. He likes a lot of populist bullshite that the left has traditionally cashed in on but he also wants to control the borders. He has no interest in curbing spending; are you trying to claim he's some sort of to ultra-conservative?

I don't know that there's an accurate description of him on a traditional scale but center right is how I'd describe him in those terms.

I would classify him as a populist with conservative leanings.

He is definitely an anomaly.

However, only a left wing loon would label him as “far right.”

Whatttttttttt

I'll remind you -

Psychologically, the more extreme someone’s beliefs or behaviors become, the more likely they are to experience those beliefs as normal, justified, or simply “the truth.” That’s the dynamic I’m describing.

Only someone on the extreme-left would believe MAGA is far-right.

I suspected it was about transsexuals.

Most Americans understand biological sex and don’t subscribe to trans ideology, regardless of political party.

You hanging out over there with the kids who want to cut their wieners off and will fight law enforcement in the streets to protect their 'right' to give away other people's money to illegals again.... calling other stuff extreme ;)

We're not talking about "most" Americans, we're talking about people being blindly loyal to party. The push for normalization of those suffering from body dysmorphia to the point of allowing the attempted indoctrination of young children (not just into acceptance, but gaslighting them into believing they are trannies) is something that is now central to the Democratic Party. They purposely ignore the harm to women and children in order to champion the party because "that's muh team!"

And that's just one aspect. There are others like open borders, cultural relativism, etc. These aren't just bad, they are highly destructive and the party loyalists gleefully go along with them because of party loyalty. On top of that, you now have Democratic candidates running on a platform which is little more than "frick Trump!"

That sort of unconditional partisanship is mind-numbingly stupid.

The Right has its own issues with blindness, but nothing nearly so blatantly harmful to society as a whole as what we see with the Left.

Like anything else, there’s a scale of blind loyalty.

Click the link I provided, it's to the DNC's 2024 central platform. The pushing of the dysmorphic (through the smokescreen of LGTBQ+whateverthefrickelsetheyclaimisagenderorsexualityorwhatever advocacy) is a core belief of party leadership. That's not a "very vibrant and very vocal minority," that's party control. That's party leadership leading the party and either enough people in the party don't care to do anything about it or they actively agree with it. Either way, it ends up being support by the majority of Democratic Party members.

Must be that mensa brain rolling out more fake news.

It's a very core principle to the entire party. Just like hating white men is very core to the party. These are not minority stances. It's literally the bread and butter of democrat race baiting policies and gender flexible lgbtqia+ agendas.

1) Immigration: has same policies as Bill Clinton. For most of american history, it wasn't politically controversial to want illegals deported and a border wall built.

2) Economy: basically an 80s era dem on trade issues. Generic reagan/bush repub on taxes. Trump doesn't have much of an appetite for reforming/scaling back welfare system, which annoys me.

3) social issues: first gop prez to support gay marriage. has mainstream position on trans issues, DEI, crime, etc

Basically a 90s democrat - Which Trump was - He literally donated to Clinton.

It's funny watching the liberals pretend their party hasn't lurched so far left that they actually believe MAGA, which as you point out is basically 90's Democrat, is "far-right".

The one thing posted by a liberal in this thread that's actually true -

Extreme people rarely see themselves as extreme. They don’t have the distance or perspective to evaluate their own position on a broader spectrum. Psychologically, the more extreme someone’s beliefs or behaviors become, the more likely they are to experience those beliefs as normal, justified, or simply “the truth.”

What they don't understand is they're looking into a mirror when making that assertion.

Pointing out obvious things like this will have you labeled as a commie by people who aren't smart enough to hold a conversation with anyone. I'm surprised some of these people made it through highschool honestly.
