The great poliboard poster NIH recently described a faction of dems I’ve been thinking of

They can be called “stuck-in-the-90s dems” or “hand waving dems” due to their flippant avoidance of discussing or recognizing the dems hard left turn on various issues.
In their personal life, they live a lifestyle not congruent with liberalism. They drive jeeps or trucks, they aren’t necessarily politically correct, they have solid private sector jobs, etc
But they still think the political landscape is the 90s, with major issues being tax rates on the rich, etc. they are either completely unaware of dems current position on transgenderism, immigration, wokeness, etc, OR they insist that these positions are not reflective of dems as a whole.
In other words, they are either “stuck in the 90s” (i.e unaware of modern dem policies) or “hand wavers” (wave away wokeness as a fringe movement not common among dems)

2) Powerman
3) VOR
among others

And more importantly they’ve been conditioned to believe that Republicans are the devil and so no matter how bad the stink of their own party they always assume the other side is worse.

There is definitely a class of NPR liberals that think they are smarter than the rest of us and either ignore how crazy the left is now or don’t think it’s that bad.
