Don't underestimate the power of the "politics as a team sport" mindset. For those, everything is ignored for the sole sake of saying "my team good and holy, your team bad and demonic." To be fair, this happens on both sides of the aisle, but the current "center" of the Left is so far into the fringe they are literally championing a mental and emotional issue as being worthy of praise and support to the point of allowing it as an excuse to abuse women.

The abuse of women by allowing men to compete in their sports? The forcing of men into women's locker rooms? Putting male inmates in general population of female prisons?
And all solely because they want to LARP as women.
