Of course they are. Why would they stay in that woke piece of shite city with that utter fricking moron as mayor and now a shithole state with that fat frick governor.
And why play in front of a bunch of fricking clueless fans that voted for these zero IQ idiots.

Sad. Pro teams belong in city centers

Bears Stadium is in one of the best locations
This is just as awful as the Chargers not getting the stadium DTown
Johnson has to be the worst of all time

Yes, it's also a sharthole. I had an employee that lived in Hammond for awhile.
But Soldier Field was also a dump. I saw so many games and concerts in that place, going back to the 70s.

They're moving because Indiana will build them a new stadium and Illinois won't. Its that simple. It has nothing to do with Chicago being woke or whatever.

The Bears deserve it. Look at that city and look at the morons in charge of Chicago and Illinois that these people voted for. No brainer to GTFO of Chicago.

I can understand them leaving Chicago. The only thing I question is leaving for Indiana. There are plenty of cities and states that would love to have a NFL franchise.

Hammond is basically Southside Chicago. It’s not a major move. They shot Blues Brothers in that area.
The Bears are on a mission from God.

Hammond, Indiana is only about 25 miles from downtown Chicago. Hammond is closer to downtown Chicago than Gillette Stadium is to downtown Boston.

30 miles away from Soldier Field.

Ok I didn’t realize they would still be that close to Chicago. Indiana is a smaller state. It just doesn’t seem like it is big enough to justify having 2 NFL franchises when a lot a states and cities that currently doesn’t have a team would love to have one.

So will they be called the Indiana Bears?

Nothing is really changing except where the stadium is going to be. Illinois is broke, so Indiana is gonna reap the windfall. The fanbase isn't going to change. It's like if Louisiana wouldn't build a new stadium for the Saints, but Mississippi will so they build one in Bay St Louis.

Chicago had every chance to course correct. Hubris and entitlement cost them a founding franchise.
Good.
Good.

It wasn't their first choice, they wanted to build a new stadium in Arlington Heights in Illinois. But the state legislature gave them shite about moving from Chicago to suburb that they chose a suburb in a different state.
