Pressed if Musk has asked to save electric vehicle incentives as part of the bill negotiations, Johnson declined to answer but said he’ll let people draw their own conclusions.
Johnson said the tax credits were “important to the leader of Tesla.”

“Elon is a good friend. We texted late last night. We’re going to talk this morning,” Johnson said. “He seems pretty dug in right now, and I can’t quite understand the motivation behind it.”

Bloomberg: Elon Musk Aims to ‘Kill’ Trump Tax Bill as He Fails to Save EV Credits
Elon Musk is on a mission to block President Donald Trump’s tax bill after he tried — and failed — to convince Republican lawmakers to preserve valuable tax credits for electric vehicles in the legislation, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The Tesla Inc. chief executive officer personally appealed to House Speaker Mike Johnson to save the tax credit. “I’ll let everybody draw their own conclusions about Elon’s motivation,” Johnson added. “I mean, obviously the EV mandate going away is, I’m sure, a concern for, you know, the leader of Tesla

Well at least we know the SOH is on Team Trump, which isn't shocking (considering he's Trump's guy)

Waiting for powerbottom and roger to say they have trusted Elon this entire time.

Yep.
His sales have tanked and that doesn’t help him at all.
I’m sure he feels betrayed for that.

So he's been publicly speaking out about getting rid of the subsidies for years and now we're to believe the real reason he was against the BBB is for the complete opposite reason?

I’m against tax credits as a rule. If “the gov” sold Elon a bill of goods that EVs would have credits and he based his business model off of that, I can see why he’d feel betrayed. Not just with Trump but everyone.

I don’t think Elon is done breaking against this admin. Next few days are going to be wild.

Well, frankly, Yes
He was OK with until the leftist loonies turned on him, so now to keep his billions, he wants subsidies and mandates

Mike Johnson was a traitor yesterday
Today - above reproach.
The worst element of MAGA in a nutshell - complete, self-deluded dishonesty.

I’m thinking Elon thought since he and Trump were buddies that Trump would take care of him. Trump is actually showing how honest is by removing this EV pork that Elon wanted.

That’s because of the mainstream media, not Trump.
All these stories about Elon was stealing peoples financial information and SSN numbers and bullshite like that. They knew all of that stuff was false but wrote crap like that all day.

AND the President said that Musk knew about the EV issue long before the BBB was passed by the House...but Musk waited until NOW to oppose the BBB?

You hope so badly that this isn’t true, don’t you??

He has publicly supported removing the credits at least as late as Dec of last year though
The left had already turned on him at that point

Has he denied it?

I really can't explain to you how minimally I care about anything to do with EV subsidies

I don't dislike Johnson, I don't dislike Trump, I don't dislike Elon
I dislike the complete lunacy of a small band of Trump sycophants who will twist their worldview overnight as needed. They're like 50 years old and complete, spineless jellies. It's just pathetic.
