Look, if Trump had campaigned on Iran being an imminent threat that he intended to confront once in office, I’d say, “You got what you voted for. Tough shite.” But he ran on the complete opposite message.
No argument there. Been a really disappointing 2nd term IMO.

I don’t hate Trump and I don’t brag that I’m rich.

fair enough
Which is really my main problem with all of this. Barring a major turnaround—which I don’t see happening because he’s far more likely to double down than pivot—I think he’s all but handed Democrats the White House in 2028.
Most of the early Republican favorites are now tied to this administration and its baggage. Rubio seemed to be positioning himself well, but now he’s one of the faces of this war. Vance? He strikes me more as a senator than someone who’s going to inspire people and turn out voters.
That’s the frustrating thing about Trump: he’s gifted at getting people fired up and buying into what he’s selling, but he fricking sucks at following through. Now he’s burned the trust of the voters in the middle who gave him a chance, and whoever comes next is going to have to answer for it.

Yup. Agreed.
Not long ago it felt like the Republicans had a deep bench for the future compared to the weirdo and outright socialist Dems. Now, not soo much. Next 2 years will be interesting for sure.

You fearmongers are ridiculous. The reality is that the differences between the two parties these days increasingly comes down to a handful of social issues, because those seem to be the only issues Republicans are willing to take a hard stance on. I don't know why some of you can't just be honest with yourselves and admit that Trump 2.0 has been pretty bad, especially over the past year. Imagine how much sky-is-falling outrage we'd be hearing if Kamala were president and the country were in its current state. Imagine the absolute meltdown if Kamala were out there promising $5,000 in stimulus money if Democrats maintained control of Congress. Jesus Christ, the man is a disaster right now. And that's what's so frustrating about it. After the election, Trump had enormous support from the middle of the electorate, along with Republican control of both the House and Senate. He had a real opportunity to get things done, and what has he actually accomplished with all that political capital? Not nearly enough to justify the constant excuses his supporters make for him. And now he's even convinced some of you that the conflict in Iran is completely necessary. You know damn well that if Kamala were president and the country were involved in the exact same conflict, many of you would be staunchly opposed to it. You'd be talking about reckless foreign policy, wasted taxpayer money, and dragging America into another war. But because it's Trump doing it, suddenly there's a justification for everything. The policy doesn't change; just the person implementing it does. Republicans are always quick to scream about RINOs, but this goes beyond party loyalty at this point. It's the cult of Trump. Any Republican who dares challenge him gets shouted down or called a cuck. Apparently, conservative principles only matter when they're convenient for Trump, and loyalty to one man has become more important than holding your own party accountable. You can't claim to care about limited government, fiscal responsibility, or conservative foreign policy while abandoning those principles whenever Trump tells you to. At some point, you have to ask yourself whether you're actually defending conservatism or just defending Trump, no matter what he does.
Do you understand the idea of conservatism? It’s to conserve, not bring about radical change. If you’re looking for change every time you get a President you should join the other party.
The border is sealed TIGHT, no migrants are coming in that will vote Democrat, and millions will be deported during his term.
Think you’d be getting that with Kamala?

Wrong. Trump primaried the RINOS holding the Globalist line and opposing him.
Trump has routinely made Government smaller since taking office. Hell, ending USAID alone was a huge step towards that. You should go back and look at USAID by Presidents and ask why it skyrocketed under Obama.

ou'll get that just as I will.
But the most important thing is Iran and increasing government spending by over 1 trillion right? That is what the Trump and the GOP chose over draining the swamp and bringing real change.
Nobody forced or asked Trump or the GOP to do what it did.
I'll take a closed border and paying a little more vs being invaded and/or having to live under Sharia Law.
You need to pick your battles son, and we have time to get our fiscal items in order after stopping the most threating issues at hand.

You don’t have to keep reminding us you prefer democrat energy policies. You have made it very clear.

It’s very simple. You prefer democrat energy policies because you’re a democrat.

No, he rebranded it and you fell for it.
For example, you hear those announcements about investments for all that money? That's the American people and American consumer bases being sold off....to globalism.
These countries are not donating or giving money to us, we are the only ones dumb enough to do that. These countries are investing so they can get a return on their investment which also means profiting off the American people ever point after that.
This on top of all the foreign nations who have already bought up many American brands and industries. Go ahead and look at how owns the majority of our meat packing industries which are also somewhat enforced by our own FDA for ratings and what not. Brazil and China own large portions of it. Who owns American beer companies? Not Americans.
But hey, you get to work for them so they can use the profits to enrich themselves and their own nations. I'm sure these companies are really going to care about American workers and American culture and will pay Americans fairly and also charge Americans fairly.
Don't worry though, the government is going to get involved in owning parts of these companies too. Some people call that socialism, such as Bernie Sanders who's been trying to get that stuff done for years by his own admission. But I guess now that's making America great again.
You see that little war in Iran or all that money we are still sending foreign countries?
Or the over 1 trillion increase in deficit spending to pay for it all?

I am picking my battles.
Your path is one that is a continuation of our country declining. Because that is the exact same thinking that got us where we are today.
Maybe it's because you aren't standing for anything and your actions literally allow the democrats to define the standard as a result.
Either way, I can promise you this much - it's never going to get better until the masses start voting and treating politics the way I do.

It you combined every fantastic explanation you and some others have to compose each time someone asks how or why {enter Trump conspiracy theory here} is true, it would be the craziest story ever told, in the history of mankind. But I’m sure it’s all true.

So what’s the alternative at the moment? Crying about it?

Look at their actions and see what they are really doing instead of what they say.
People should be pissed off that companies and foreign nations are buying up American assets. But Trump calls it an "investment" and suddenly it's awesome even though the result will be billions heading to foreign countries.
Meanwhile, many of those same people will get upset if they see a Mexican sending $20 to Mexico.
That is the power of propaganda.

Your little bitch boy Massie voted to kill the SAVE Act through pure snakery. It takes a drooling moron to call that walking bowel movement a conservative.
This is a straight up lie.
Massie personally killed the bill with backroom machinations. That's the truth whatever your little gay crush wants you to m believe.

No, that's not true at all.
They were trying to make it so they could push through spending bills without 24 hours to review them in the rules and he rejected those rules.
Which is what you are supposed to do when you are on the rules committee as they are supposed to have 72 hours to review any major bill.
When the bill made it to the floor, he voted in favor of it.
So again, what you are claiming is a straight up lie.
If the guy is so bad, why do people need to make shite up about him constantly?

There is a Congressional Record, little guy. Massie voted to kill the bill, the ONLY REPUBLICAN to side with Schumer on the most important bill he ever voted on. Even Collins and Murkowski were on board

It's a rules committee vote, not the actual vote.
He voted against a rule that was attached to it, not the actual bill. He voted in favor of the bill itself.
It's not my fault if you can't understand how committees work and what their purpose is, but you are wrong and someone is purposely leading you astray.

It was a cowardly backroom vote to keep the bill from reaching the floor.

I understand exactly how they work and how they're manipulated to allow treacherous pussies like Massie to convince the eagerly gullible, (you), that they never betrayed their constituents when the record shows they did.
