The problem with this is the US has a veto power in NATO, just like in the UN, and the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, is always an American 4-star . It doesn't matter anyway, Congress will never ratify a US withdrawal from NATO, and Europe has 2 1/2 years to wait until Trump is sunsetted. The rabble rousing is a moot point.

Honestly in today’s hyper mobility of forces, I’d love to see us take a giant step back from European protection.. time to return the bases and coinciding infrastructure back to its original form and bring the equipment and technology home.

There is no reason for the U.S. military to maintain a presence in Europe, with the only exception of tracking the location of our “allies” nukes, should we have to eliminate them.

They're already laying the groundwork. They're trying to get the U.S. to knock off Iran and Turkey so that they can be the regional hegemon and complete the Greater Israel Project.

When the US govt decided that it wasn’t going to stop sending money to Ukraine, the Euros got together and said they were going to “pick up our slack.” I think they put together a collective $15 billion after we sent $180 billion.
I am all for the United States pulling out of NATO. We don’t need it. It’s been a pure charity ever since the end of the Cold War. However, the Europeans should be begging us to stay. They are weak economically, they are weak socially, and they are weak military.
