Exactly, the concept of insurance companies being in the business of collecting premiums from healthy people and when they get sick telling them to F off

No, more like the concept of a company collecting money with the promise that if a certain thing happens, they'll pay to mitigate that something, being forced to accept people to whom that something has ALREADY happened.

Like, I just wrecked my car and the government forces State Farm to approve me for collision insurance.

Your whine that I quoted above is a different situation. That's an issue of companies dropping existing customers to avoid paying out on them, not forcing them to accept expensive new ones that they haven't collected anything from yet.

So if you have cancer or major issues you wait a year before you can get treated?

In no world is that better.

That's because as a liberal the only possibly thing you can even contemplate if a government solution. And. You are also incapable of simply accepting that three less government the better. Notice. I said better not perfect. You idiots see imperfection and then spend decades trying to stamp out ALL imperfections while simultaneously just making things worse

You're especially stupid, apparently, though, since I said very early in the post that no one can "fix" it. And you're stupid if you think anyone can.

Then again, we've firmly established your stupidity, so...

ObamaCare was designed to fail and create a rabid constituency for socialized medicine. They are eating this country one bite at a time.

I completely disagree.

Obamacare was pretty much designed by the insurance companies and it was designed to make them even richer and give them even more power.

And it has.

Oh yeah, that too, but you’re wrong to disagree. It was also most definitely designed to fail.

We should make car insurance work the same way. Think about how much money you'll save.

When your low IQ brain figures out why that won't work, apply that reasoning to health insurance.

If you don’t have insurance… and find out you have csncer… should you be able to run out and get insurance that covers you immediately? If you don’t have car insurance… and have a wreck, can you get insurance that will cover said wreck?

It’s no longer insurance at that point…. It’s getting someone else to subsidize your healthcare.

You either have it totally subsidized to pay Pennies a month or a $1,000 monthly premium with a $7,000 deductible as well What a great setup !

No shite. I try to keep my health savings account above 20,000 bucks so we can pay if something bad happens.

We don’t go to the Med Center unless it’s bad.

We use all of the free health screens annually but
don’t go for non life threatening symptoms anymore.

20 years ago we went for treatment for whatever and it was a 30 dollar co pay.

Now it’s 700 bucks.

Inflation is through the roof on everything.
Do you think Healthcare Premiums are only rising because of Obamacare?

Obamacare premiums are increasing more than 4 times as much as general inflation

But regardless, you folks promised Americans that the ACA was going to lower premiums. There’s a reason you called it the “affordable care act” and not “help people with preexisting conditions act”

And not only did you lie to voters, you *outlawed* the ability of Americans to purchase catastrophic health insurance, requiring all insurance plans to offer “essential benefits”

Obamacare helped a small percentage of Americans (those with pre existing conditions, irresponsible diabetics, and general disgusting unhealthy frick ups” at the expense of the rest of Americans, who are paying higher premiums so these small percentage of Americans can pay less.

Obama Care is taxation without representation.

And it’s permanent.

I told my African American boss this when it
passed and he got pissed.

I would rather health be subsidized than many other things money is spent on.

Not exactly. Jonathan Gruber, the MIT economist, the one who said we have to lie to get Obamacare to pass was the architect of ACA along with Dr. Emmanuel, a Democrat from Chicago and buddy of Obama. Insurance companies have to spend 80% of every dollar on claims leaving the company with 20% to pay salaries, expenses, etc.
The companies are operating as capitalistic entities in a market distorted by Governmental bureaucracies.

I'm paying $12k/month for employee insurance. Meanwhile the insurance companies are paying me about 35% less than in 2005. Unsustainable. I'm about to quit seeing patients and just take care of my defense contractors and other big industrial accounts. Cut 90% of my staff, only keep those that are irreplaceable or don't need insurance.

That $12k doesn't include insurance for my wife and I. $14k/month for health insurance. Thanks Obama.

The ACA Ponzi scheme promised each American family would SAVE $2,500 per year by Obama and the Democrat party, NOT MORE than double healthcare cost?

Why is an "alternative" needed? Wasn't the American public promised by Obama and the Democrat party that the ACA Ponzi scheme would solve the healthcare issue and SAVE each family $2,500 per year? Exactly when is this saving going to start?
