The ACA did eliminate being denied insurance for Preexisting Conditions. That was a good thing.

I’ll have to get on Obamacare in 2-3 years.

It’ll be a necessity for me.

I get that it’s unpopular here, but there is a need for it.

Inflation is through the roof on everything.
Do you think Healthcare Premiums are only rising because of Obamacare?

Inflation is lower than under Biden and costs gave only increased since obamacare started.

The rising costs was a feature.

They always like to say we can’t get 60 votes until they really want something passed then it magically happens. Ever noticed that?

That's the whole ruse. That's exactly why premiums and deductibles have continued to rise and why insurance companies have made record profits under the ACA.

You make some good points, but remember the government set the parameters and rules that private companies had to follow. It is not free market capitalism and not elastic as you point out.
Did you include the Advanced Premium Tax Credits in the income? And, the fact that 38 million more Americans are insured since ACA started? The premiums had to rise due the many coverages mandated by ACA; for example, 100 % paid for Wellness and Preventative Exams. Are we healthier today due to Obamacare? Lastly, do we even call it insurance when any pre-existing conditions are covered? Insurance is meant to pool risks and spread out over large numbers. If I could buy insurance before a major calamity, I would not call it Insurance. It should just be called a healthcare plan. The companies can’t just pay more claims as you say, claims are real numbers submitted by medical providers for services rendered. Let’s see how many claims and the dollar amount denied. I want to know how much money the government is paying yearly to the insurance companies in the form of tax credits? Bake that number into the equation is why insurance companies income has risen combined with more people on Medicare Advantage Plans, which insurance companies make big bucks on. While we are at it, let see how much revenue private companies make from Medicaid managing agreements for various states.
