Democrats- “we need to elect a Nazi woman beater to defend democracy”

Collins sucks but she’s the best you can ask for out of Maine

I hiked the Appalachian Trail through Maine.

The Southern coast of Maine is beautiful in the summer.

I thought being on the AT in the fall would be great ... leafs changing and all.

Snow and ice.

And the prehistoric mosquitoes and big black deer flies could not gaf about the snow. They were swarming in the snow. It didn't phase them.

world class seafood

When I went to Portland, their oysters were from Louisiana at the time.

I was quite surprised.

There was also quite a few Somali’s.

However, it was quite beautiful.

It's absolutely beautiful. It has constitutional carry, legal marijuana, it's the most densely forested state in the country, billboards are illegal, world class seafood, more coastline than California, it's the first state to see the sunrise and the only state to border only one other state, produces 99% of the blueberries in North America, and has the highest Moose to resident ratio in the lower 48.

I mean, I don’t think Maine is a shithole but let’s not go overboard. It’s pretty middling as far as states go IMO

Maine is a very poor state outside of coast where the wealthy gather in the summer.

Drove down the rural center of the state after a camping trip to Moosehead Lake some years ago. Never saw so many signs of poverty. Cars on blocks, houses in decay, lawns overgrown and such went on for miles. Then things started looking up for a while and at the center of the improvement was a very old and decrepit looking canning factory that was still in business.

Maine is almost 92% white.

What? It’s a beautiful state

Yeah, I was wondering about that comment. I have never been there, so I don’t know for sure. But everything I have heard about it makes it high on my list of places to visit.

But everyone is entitled to their opinion.
