I just learned that if Platner wins the primary and subsequently drops out for whatever reason, the democrat establishment can choose whoever they want to replace him. Sounds plausible. Maybe appoint the governor to run against Collins?

This is the first time my life I’ve ever heard someone talk bad about Maine. What does that say about the rest of the country in OP’s mind.

She voted against the SAVE Act. If MAGA were an actual principled movement she would have been taken out in the primaries.

LindsBot is the queen of spouting false talking points.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), frequently cited as a congressional thorn in Trump’s side, nevertheless sided with the White House 32 out of 38 times, differing on votes such as Mike Johnson’s speakership, the HALT Fentanyl Act, the March continuing resolution (CR) vote, and two votes on the OBBBA.

Crazy thought. Maybe she votes for what she thinks is in the best interest of her constituents. A wild theory today for some reason

Thanks Rooster, have said this many times.

Murkoski is just a beeetch.

Collins, a saw a scattergram of her voting. She is to the left of all republicans and to the right of every democrat, splitting hairs to keep her seat. The alternative would be to the left of bernie sanders.

It's "deep blue" because of the districts' deliberate wonly construction, not because there are no conservatives in the state.

30% of its registered voters are Republican, with another almost 30% unaffiliated.

What? It’s a beautiful state

Beautiful or not it is still a progressive shithole.

I would prefer Collins over Platner, but I would prefer someone more conservative over Collins. Granted, knowing the reality, she’s probably the best realistic option.
