At least you put a complete sentence together. 2 out of 4 isn’t bad for you.

A supermajority is not required for impeachment just for removal from office. Also you really don’t want that removed because if it had been a rule Trump would’ve been kicked out.

We'd just be giving ourselves debt.

Probably the worst gift ideas ever.

I don’t want the money. Use it against the national debt, and position the country so we’re able to pay the debt off.

Then take steps to ensure we never get into secret payments to political organizations again. Or better yet, no secret payments at all.

People need to look at what’s best for the country in the long term. Our politicians haven’t been doing that for a long time.

You all are so predictable. Who said Elon and Trump won't continue slashing spending and government agencies after this?

Calling money that was taken from taxpayers and then given back to taxpayers a loan is an odd way to describe it. It reminds me of all the leftists who think it's the government's money and not the people's.

You have people on here who call themselves Conservatives and Republicans begging for more federal government handouts

These same people call others who don’t want this money (because it’s a stupid fricking idea) ‘idiots’ and ‘libs’

Make this make sense to me.

I don’t care about the 5 grand, but the fact you think a return of taxes is a handout is amazing. You would rather your daddy big government have money than the taxpayer. So conservative if you.

Weird position. Everyone has pretty much expressed they want to pay down the debt or get their stolen funds back. Seems like both are reasonable positions.

It needs to go to the debt.

Republicans are proposing a 380 billion dollars in increased spending

Knowing that, how does it make any sense to give some of the DOGE money as handouts?

If you want money go fricking work for it like everyone else you piece of shite.

Only if we return to pre Covid spending levels which Republicans are not proposing. This is fricking stupid and nobody should want this money. It’s dumb.

Fine by me. My objection was to you calling it government handout if they return it to the taxpayers. That was a very ignorant statement.

Second if the goal is to stop spending money we do not have, then you should stop spending.

Giving money back to the people is not spending. At best, you can describe it as less revenue, but everyone here agrees we have a spending problem, not a revenue problem.

Wanting to put all the savings against the debt is myopic. For one, it would be Trump admitting that our money was stolen by the government but he's going to keep it anyways. This is terrible optics. Do you care more about permanently changing the government or doing "the responsible thing?" Trump is playing the long game to make permanent change. To do that, we need the people to see results. Giving people back their money is a good way to do that.

Giving the people their money back also shows that Trump is sticking to his word. He created the external revenue service and is trying to shift the tax burden away from income taxes. Giving the money back helps people buy into this change.

There is no reason we couldn't do what Trump says and give 20% back while applying 60+% to the debt. Once again, the complainers demand all or nothing. It's why the true Republicans never move the needle right, only slow its move to the left. Everything must be 100%. No compromise to achieve actual results is allowed. It's better to lose everything than to compromise and get most of what you want.

The Republican party is full of stagnant thinkers. Thankfully, it's finally being led by someone with vision.

You:
Begging for a measly $5k from the federal government thinking you are just “getting your money back” from the same government who is not cutting spending and proposing to increase it. Talk about being economically illiterate.

50% of federal revenue is paid by taxpayer, out of taxpayers money, 50% pay less than $700 a year.

The lower 50% would be getting a massive handout.
