No, but you clearly are. You are in a thread talking about Iowa polling but refused to answer a question regarding the difference between the Selzer Iowa poll and the Emerson Iowa Poll. You are trolling and refuse to answer the question.

The problem with that reasoning is that in 2008 you saw more than a few states show radical jumps towards the Democrats. Iowa was not a sole anomaly. There is no evidence that is true today. Zero.

You JUST said you ACTUALLY think her fake poll is a harbinger for what’s to come, hence, you’re using it to project the country
Iowa +12
RI +23.4
NC +6.9
AZ +8.8
Here is data you are ignoring. Real votes

The thing is this. I haven't dissented on anything. The OP posted a thought provoking interview on a controversial topic and I've been discussing it. That's it.

No you have not. You refused to answer a simple basic question of Why are you worried about the Selzer poll but ignore the Emerson poll +10.5 Trump who is A + rated and better results since 2020 in Iowa. Selzer also was off 6 points in the Kim Reynolds race for Iowa Governor. You said you want to discuss, let's see it

If you want to talk about the Emerson poll then start a thread on the Emerson poll and we'll chew on it. This thread is about the Halperin interview and the Selzer poll.
Selzer is an expert in her field and well respected across the board. She may very well be wrong in her findings, we'll soon know. Personally, I hope she is.
Can you be ok now?
Posted on 11/3/24 at 3:29 pm to Bunk Moreland
Umm those results follow the results of the nation, how is this even debatable? People were tired of W and voted for Obama. His popularity waned in 12’ and his margins dropped then they elected Trump like a lot of midwestern states. That entire tweet was gibberish

You have shown yourself to be a clown in this thread. 2 pages of refusing to answer a simple question shows everyone your trolling attempt. You still have not answered the question and your mask is now off

I'm with you on this Pandy. I thought the interview was illuminating. Selzer gets high marks for answering questions from callers.
Her poll is an outlier. The discussion was interesting though, including Newt Gingrich's comments. One caller made a good point: the significance of age isn't static. 65+ now ncludes many anti-Vietnam protesters.
Posted on 11/3/24 at 3:39 pm to John Barron
Prizker paid her to throw that outlier out there to provide a false narrative for the MSM and to frick with the composite polling averages.

The OP did good with this thread. It was a very interesting discussion, and that part of it sorta stood out. There's a cultural and political difference between younger senior citizens and older ones. The Selzer poll may have captured that.

No. Iowa has first in the nation caucuses. I generally get contacted very early in the election cycle. In 2016 I went against the party's preferred candidate early on and went Trump. It was not a popular position. I also didn't support McCain, and that wasn't a popular position either.
The Governor had me privately introduce to Christy. They knew each other from the Nat'l Gov's Association. They called me alter and I told them I was on the Trump train. The Gov's son ended up heading Trump's 2016 campaign in Iowa. I had zero communication from anyone in the state until teh Gov's son hopped onboard with Trump. I was persona non grata.
There are lessons in the above. What have you done for me lately is one lesson. The second lesson is I'll be with you as long as I can.
Later I was backstage with Trump after he got elected. His people reached out to me about the tax bill, specifically the pass through entity portion. We've stayed in contact.
The Governor ended up Ambassador to China. The Gov's son ended up with a short lived gig at Dept. of Commerce.
There are lessons in this also. Politicians are all politicians, no matter how much you think they aren't.
I wouldn't say I'm connected. In fact I probably make the establishment Republicans uncomfortable for a variety of reasons, not all political. I would say I'm known, or more accurately become known eventually. I have a sphere of influence. Quietly, under the radar. The business community respects me. The political community understands me. Which is to say it's better to have me inside your tent pissing outside, rather than outside your tent pissing at you. I've embarrassed some of them in the media. I'm a loose cannon. They also know I keep my mouth shut if it's in my best interest.
So yeah, I get to see some internal polling. I get some inside baseball.
In 2016 on this board, for these reasons, is why I argued with the bankers and economists on tariffs, non-seasonal dairy, etc. Those guys argue literally, and text book style. They do not understand how the game is played which is largely figuratively and has a lot of misdirection.
SFP I don't recall posting much in 2016. The Ohio contingent certainly was opposed to my tariff positions and non seasonal dairy. They of course weren't arguing in the same realm as I was. The largest turn around I've seen on here is @the808bass His transformation has been remarkable.
Trump is going to win. People will continue to melt. I'll trade on every little thing, hopefully as successfully as I've been able to do in the past.
So yes and no, I'm in politics. Largely I don't like political people. I do like the game however.

Wow, that was alot
What do you think of the big difference between the Selzer poll vs the Emerson Poll. Also considering the early vote data has swung 12 points to Republicans compared to 2020 and also Registrations increased 130,000 for Republicans since 2020
