I should have noticed this but I didn’t:

You’ll know by the quality of their posts if they decide to post here. The good ones and successful ones are fairly discreet.

Latest order arrived today.
Trinidad Espiritu #1
Dunbarton Red Meat Lovers
Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970
Tatuaje Havana. VI
Also trying out a variety of full bodied cigars, mostly pepper bombs, but also some aged maduros, from this firm in Austin, Texas. I did some research into their blends, and I think, don’t know, I’ll be happy.

Didn’t see it posted.

Several other legacy media is reporting it also. Based on “sources”, but looks to be true.
Her defense should be interesting. There are a couple of attorneys on here that practice federal criminal law. There are some others that claim to be attorneys. Claim being the key word in my view

NTY
Volatility trade has been done for a while for me.
Wondering at what price level BTC to average up and acquire more physical?
Mentioned natural gas short being a trade, closed out yesterday and doubled my investment. Of course if I would have held until today it would be triple, but expiry was hte 17th, so never complain about taking a profit I guess. Still, I look, and it hurts.
I thought I would short (long puts) VIX today. Goodness they are expensive. Out of curiosity I looked a bit at calls also, those are pricey right now also.

Reserve currencies by definition are largely budget neutral.

Southern Draw is another cigar where AJ collaborated. Which means I'll try it. I looked and they are a bit more difficult to get.
How long do you let your cigars rest after arrival?
I'll will say Katman generally likes more bold flavored cigars, so I do pay some attention. My understanding is he has had some health issue, is older, and doesn't post new reviews. I'm not sure.
Reviews are helpful to an extent, but eventually I need to smoke the cigar to make my personal decision.
I forget what I had this morning, but it's on the list above. I just lit a LFD Chapter 1. My concern is that it seems to be slightly over humidified.
I'm not sure how that happens. I have a refrigerator humidor, and two Tupperdors. I suppose I probably have at least 100-200 cigars on hand, and another 20-25 down in Florida.

Bump an old thread.
I've started to keep a list. Basically since I smoke a cigar and then forget about it.
I've learned to retrohale.
I must not have as refined tastes as others, but I enjoy what I think is chocolate, and favorite flavor profile is pepper (as strong as I can get)
I'm not a huge fan of Katman. I never know if he is reviewing a cigar, or a porn film.
Anyway, I most enjoy AJ Fernandez, Pepin, Espinosa and cigars in that arena.
I see Erik Espinosa at an Italian social club I frequent in Florida in the winter.
I recently rediscovered Padron cigars. In an odd twist, their naturals are more peppery than their maduro.
Here is my list. It's not all inclusive becuase it's a recent creation with ongoing additions and edits.

The most recent cigar that I've rediscovered is the AJ Laranja Reserva Escuro. There are actually three, the Laranja Reserva, Laranja Reserva Escuro, and Laranja Azulejo, and if I recall correctly they are all very, very good. Inexpensive when on sale also.
I smoke daily, and many days have 2 or 3.
Someone told me once, and it holds true with a lot of things other than cigars, that a good cigar is a cigar you enjoy.

Thanks for both replies. Time is definitely an added risk in how I trade volatility.
I lose sight of BTC eventual price levels, and get caught up in the old dynamic of never wanting to average up, Averaging up is against human nature I suspect. It's very much against my nature.
I'm not a huge proponent of DCA, but as it regards BTC I need to start buying more physical BTC on dips, keeping an eye on BTC's eventual assets price, and less of an eye on entry points and cost basis.
Even though I have a small tranche of BTC in the 1,000's, it's still such a new asset it's hard for me to not want to hedge my unrealized gains and hard for me not to worry about a potentially new regulatory environment. For the government to attempt to regulate physical BTC seems misguided. It's not different than any other physical asset in that regard. I understand why they regulated futures and options however.
Since I can't predict the future and don't trust government, it leads me to asking questions to gather other's input that also hold physical BTC and trade it.
I appreciate the discussion n here.

I might be caught in a bull trap on my last (long call 3/21/25) BTC volatility trade.
For those that remember BOIL has Become Predictable, I looked at natty gas supply (EIA gas in storage) and what appears to be overpriced natural gas and went short (I layered up leap puts). Some of you might want to take a look at gas in storage 5 year averages, upcoming warm weather, increased supply, etc. It's a speculative play.
Back to BTC. First, I'm not a technical trader or very good chart reader, I'm long physical BTC at a favorable cost basis. My volatility trades are just a way to generate some income around what I own.
All this posted, some not germane to BTC, if I'm long BTC at $22K, what say you about a good entry point to acquire more physical, and what you would find an acceptable cost basis? My thoughts, based on nothing right now, is to acquire until I've averaged up (painful) to $50K.
Regarding the volatility trade, do the guys on here that do this think it might finally be over?

US Gov owns stock now. Certainly did after the mortgage meltdown. Interesting to see who supported it back then and who doesn’t support it now.
It was mostly preferred shares after the mortgage meltdown.IIRC.
I think they also still hold an equity stake in Fannie and Freddie.
Only reason I post this is I’m entertained by the flip flopping that is gong to occur on here, because several were in favor of taking equity then, and don’t seem to be excited about it now.
But it’s different this time. Sure it is.

Short IBIT
Long VIX
Close IBIT puts probably tomorrow. Try to figure out when and how to plunge the profit into BTC. Probably LEAP calls. It’s still hard for me to purchase physical BTC at these levels given my cost basis. I hate averaging up.
The volatility trade hasn’t been as exciting lately, but I’m on the right side of it for tomorrow.
