You obviously have a very limited understanding economics and dealing with markets in general. The differences between raising tariffs on products that have market competitors that don’t have to worry about said tariffs and taxes that hit every competitor just flies over your head.

She’s right though, they don’t need to raise prices. They’ll just move the production to low tax and low wage jurisdictions. People won’t have money to pay for the items, but the prices will stay the same.

Tariffs on imported product produced more jobs . Taxes on businesses eliminates jobs . For a bunch of people that claim to be smart you have a hard time understanding economics.

I mean, in reality prices won't probably be raised very much at first. (i'm sure some will be, not saying this as an absolute).
What will happen in more cases, is costs will be cut elsewhere, like letting people go. If a business could just raise their prices, they would have already don't it as they would have been undercharging.
Yes, there will be some price increases, but that won't be the main area something like this hits, at least not at first. If they continue with raising taxes, increasing minimum wage, etc, then yea the businesses will have absolutely no choice but to raise prices once they have exhausted cost saving mechanisms and can't anymore. None of this is a good thing.

Tariffs are MUCH better than income taxes. Tariffs are apportioned equally. Income taxes are disproportionate and are applied mostly to the middle class. The poor and rich don’t pay income taxes at the same percentages as the middle class.
