This Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will for the first time ever create a true national network of charging stations for electric vehicles. That means you can charge up and drive across the country — and it’ll create thousands of jobs for electrical workers.

I hope the coal plants are running so that those chargers can get some juice.

Surprised they didn't throw the kitchen sink in and offer a $10K tax credit for buying an e-vehicle.

I you all love blackouts because once everyone’s car and truck are on the grid that’s what you will get - not to mention the fact that they will control if you even get to drive

No clue but most hotels have charging stations for EVs now, plenty of the larger service stations do as well...

Why the need for the government to build more is what I don't get at this point, or really ever. The market should drive it...

Alas these will be like the plug in stations so the big rigs could run their A/C without idling their engines all night... Money goes poof...

Charging a Tesla at home may increase your electric bill by around $20 to $50 every month.

Yeah, you'll also have to take two additional weeks worth of PTO just to make up for the accumulated charge times to get you there.

But hey, now there's a charge station next to every waffle house in the country. So there's that.

Every port for the electric cars will be universal. I think each car should have it's own cable. There will be no jobs created for electricians....These idiots don't realize that there is not a closet full of unemployed electricians in a container ship somewhere ....It will take years of training to install all this crap ...or electrical contractors will bid for the installation contracts.

Hundreds of jobs are not going to be created.

You can but it'll take 3x longer to get anywhere over 500 miles.

From a national security standpoint, does it really make sense to put the country’s entire transportation capabilities on an electric grid?? A couple EMP attacks would literally cripple this nation instantly.

Hmmm, I wonder how this is gonna effect our unfortunate poor folks. I see them driving old cars 20 mph in a 45 zone and it ain't old people. It's a guy who is on empty and ain't got no damn money for no gas.

I want to see what this guy does with an EV when he ain't got no damn money for no lectrical charge.
