This pope sure loves to repeatedly interject on specific topics

"Hey, the Muslim guy that tried to kill people in the name of Allah, he doesnt warrant the death penalty"

Yet the white woman who became a Buddhist in prison, and survived her death sentence

:crickets:

This guy spends far more time defending a religion that will one day slice off his head, than he does defending people of other faiths combined

Forgiveness and accountability are two separate things, he can repent and ask God for forgiveness before a shot is fired.

If the Pope is into criticizing the death penalty policy of governments,
when was the last time he publicly denounced a Muslim government’s death penalty policy?

They use it a lot more than Western countries.

He an idiot.

His parallels are ridiculous and aren’t remotely the same argument. Logically or morally.

Yeah! Wonder how he feels about the non catholics, killed by the church during the Middle Ages.

But here he is speaking against a government policy he doesn’t agree with.

You can’t separate government from the individual. Government does not exist without the individual. Government did not create this policy. The individuals in government did.

I would like him to address the individual people of America and tell them to follow Jesus. Tell the Muslims, the atheists, the Hindus, every individual.

He has and does. What he won’t do is strive to meet your expectations as a Protestant. Clean up your own churches and doctrine before you pass judgment on the Pope and Catholics.

Recent Popes have been scared to directly tell them they are wrong.

The RCC has supported and even demanded the use of the death penalty for over a thousand years.

I thought the RCC doesn’t change. Apparently it does.

He’s right about this one.
No he isn’t.

The death penalty is supposed to be a just response to the destruction and abuse of life. The reason why God said that life demands life in Genesis 9:6 is precisely because of the value of life: we are made in the image of God, and to destroy it unlawfully is so bad that it demands the guilty party to forfeit their own.

The Pope’s thinking could be applied to self-defense: you aren’t really pro-life if you support killing to protect life.

It’s ridiculous.

Jesus did.

He came to save souls. Individuals have souls.

Governments have none.

How about him railing on all the Democrats and other politicians that support abortion?

Killing 100% innocent babies in the womb.

The pope is showing a Muslim terrorist far more grace in humanity than the Muslim terrorist shows anyone else. Even a pregnant woman.

Yet somehow I’m not ignorant enough to support or be a member of a religion that has done its best to promote and spread and make excuses for Homosexuality and also spread Illegal Immigrants not just in America but all over the world. Thats evil behavior. Period.

This Pope is a left wing activist who misuses his position in the church as a platform to meddle in US politics. He needs to STFU and swing some incense around.
