are you really comparing the legal execution of a mass murderer to the purposeful killing of babies in the womb?

No. I’m stating Catholic doctrine which values the life of every person from conception until natural death.

Leo needs to reread the Gospels.

The Catholic Church is pro life. That means no abortion AND no death penalty. This pope is consistent with Catholic teaching. Don’t expect the pope to celebrate a state killing.

You prots really should spend less time worrying about the Pope and more time getting your pastors to stop cheating on their wives before murdering them.

They all murdering their wives are they? All of them murdering their wives you say?

As long as the pope has armed guards, then he is not pro-life. To be truly pro-life, you would have to be against killing another for any reason whatsoever, even if it meant giving your own life. His armed guards means that he accepts the possibility of another being killed in order to protect himself.

Once you get past that, the notion of pro-life goes out the window, and it becomes a discussion of when you do and don't believe killing another is okay. For him, killing another as punishment for the murder of 13 innocent people is not okay, but killing another to protect himself is.

Whatever that is, it isn't pro-life.

That’s just…. A very poorly thought out and made point. Just stupid.

Not at all. You can't claim to be against killing people and then have exceptions. You either are, or you aren't.

When your belief is that nobody should be killed for any reason unless it is to protect me, that is just elitism.

If any person should be willing to sacrifice themselves to support their beliefs, it is the pope. This is just hypocrisy. No different than him condemning borders behind high walls and condemning wealth while sitting in a palace.

Can you explain why, or is it just stupid because reasons?

You can be against killing people and at the same time not give up your right to defend yourself. To state that that is elitism is yet another…. Ridiculously stupid argument made by you. You seem to think you are being clever. You in no way are, however.

Sure, but that is still being okay with killing people in some circumstances. You believe it is okay to kill in self-defense. The Pope would agree with you.

I believe it is okay to kill in self-defense and to kill murderers as punishment.

Leftists believe it is okay to kill innocent babies in the womb but not typically in self-defense.

We all agree killing is okay sometimes.

Who is the authority on which killings count as pro-life? Because the Pope says one thing, and the Bible says another.

Obviously the Bible… it is the infallible Word of God. The pope is a quite fallible man. What he says can be considered his opinion and nothing more.
