It doesn’t take too long to reform a party. Dems were in absolute shambles in 2024, now look. It doesn’t take much.

Aside from Biden dropping out the race too late for Harris to get any meaningful traction, how were they in shambles in 2024?

It’s a simple fix really. Trump can take the third term with Vance in waiting by force.

America is in need of autocracy.

It's amazing people on here are just realizing this. The only reason 2024 was as close as it was, was because Trump was the GOP nominee. Independents who didn't like Trump and didn't vote for him in 2016 or 2020 held their noses to vote for him because they couldn't take the Biden-Harris administration any more. These people literally admitted in focus groups that they didn't like Trump. These were 1-time Trump voters.

Trump is about to find out that he has no power anymore. The GOP is going to drop him like a sack of bricks and start reconstructing the party.

It showed all across the country tonight. He fricked himself with Iran, and the bottom line is that people are sick of his shite and were ready to show it at the ballot box.

I’m not declaring the end of western civilization like some people on here, but if you can’t see people are sick of his shite, you’re not paying attention. He fricked the GOP with his shenanigans and it’ll be a long road to reconstruct it.

I wonder if the same people will be sick of the DSA if they get the southern border wide open again and another 20-30 million immigrants flood into the US?

The argument can be made that people don't show up for the GOP when Trump isn't on the ballot.

Good luck without him.

Republican voters are finally coming to realize that he’s a megalomaniac who’s on a power trip. He doesn’t give two shits about this country or the citizens in it; only cares about himself.

Shambles might have been a strong word. But Trump winning popular vote and Republican voter registration was crazy high. Rep party looked like it had serious momentum for years to come.

Dems embarrassed themselves in so many ways during Biden. But people quickly forget.

Yep. Losing the mid-terms it’s pretty much the norm for the party and power, particularly in the executive branch. But the Trump factor is making it an even worse loss. Still early, but not looking good.

I was tired of the sarcastic BS. Yeah, it's funny, but when nothing else is getting done, it's old.

When I voted straight R ballot today Trump never crossed my mind, my thought was do my part to prevent the DSA from taking Congress.

How'd that work out for ya?

That will happen, but this pendulum swinging of each party doing a poor job while in power can’t go on. We will reach a braking point.
