Don't upset the patient on life support.
Let them take comfort where they can.

I have to hand it to you blount, by predicting an Ohio State repeat you quiet all their posters.
I hope to hell neither of your picks for the championship make it that far.

One of my all-time favorite moments in college football was the quick cut to Colt McCoy and the look on his face right after Crabtree made two horn DB's look like Laurel and Hardy to score the winning TD.

Oklahoma is going to get their Welcome to the SEC moment on 12/19
A year late I think, 2024 pretty much showed Sooner fans what it is and somehow Oklahoma still managed to wreck bama's season.
As for this year's rematch, it could go either way but don't expect to hear me crying if Alabama wins since Venables got the team to 10 wins when everyone said the ceiling was six.
Go Sooners!

Everyone who posts about Notre Dame or downvotes, I won't say you are missing the point, you are missing MY point.
I am saying what Notre Dame did transcends their team, the whole of college football is broken and what they did shines the light on it.
Okay, you don't like what they did but they are not the problem, all they did was take a stand and say playing by YOUR rules whoever YOU are doesn't cut it anymore and this I agree with.
As long as self serving money grubbers run the show the show is going to go to hell.
It is long past time for the teams, the product we all want to see, to wrest back some semblance of control and bring a little sanity to college football.
Ultimately what Notre Dame did is going to bring change and let's hope it is finally for the better instead of this downhill slide the sport has been on for the last 20 years.

I prescribe acupuncture.
It stimulates the nerves.
It works.

For all the complaining about Notre Dame and to an extent the other schools that opted out of playing a bowl game, by doing so it sent a message to whoever makes the decisions that steer the game and maybe the actions of these schools are just another step in the evolution of the game, the game that has changed and not in ways we like.
Notre Dame's action is a shot at forcing the decision makers to clean up the mess they have made and understand it wasn't Notre Dame or any other single school that caused college football to veer off course.
The Notre Dame program, players and fans want the game to go on as much as anyone but I for one agree with them standing up and saying, "We're mad as hell and we're not taking it anymore!"

As an impressionable young boy I watched a game with my dad one night, it was Alabama at an Archie Manning-led Mississippi and what a game it was! What I remember was both team moving practically at will up and down the field and the Mississippi fans waving this huge Stars and Bars flag while the band played. It was not my first exposure to college football but that one game made me a fan forever so I won 't knock old Archie.

if OU wins again, will you call us Daddy?
No, he'll say, "Son, I am proud of you."
No, he'll say, "Son, I am proud of you."
Heck I don't think I've ever seen one bring up Colt McCoy.
I take it you have never perused any of the Texas boards.
I think Stoops coached Oklahoma to all 6 though he only won 5 of them.
So is Arch doing any ads for the game, is he going to wake up feeling the cheesiest?

So much butthurt over teams who choose not to play and some of you acting like it's costing you money or something.
Every opt out whether by a team or an individual, they have their reasons.
Get over it.

I know. Mateer should have become spokesperson for Warby Parker, get more name recognition . . . oh wait, I guess that doesn't work either.

Why is Sayin there?
Does Ohio State have some kind of influence over the Heisman Trophy Committee?

Are we getting close to seeing it happen?
If so then I offer a solution . . . swag bags.

I wonder if they will rethink their spending going forward?
Yes, yes they will rethink it and conclude they did not spend enough.

(Beating Alabama) . . . bought Brent Venables a few more years.
Is the inverse also true, has it cost Kalen DeBoer any of his years?

16 teams, no byes
I like it but would make one tiny alteration, no seeding, pair them up by luck of the draw.
Now THAT would be a tournamet!

3 loss teams should not go to the playoffs
Hold on to your skirt, Michelle.
When the CFP expands to 16 there will be 4-loss teams arguing to be in.

I can't ever remember another coach who was born closer to third base.
You mean aside from Lincoln Riley AND Ryan Day, right?
