It's not as simple as that always. For example, my wife didn't lose custody, but she lost primary when she got divorced from her ex husband. She was an immigrant with no support and he didn't let her work when they were married. Kicked her out of the house and cut her off of all money.

He went to court with the sleaziest most unethical lawyer in town (defends pedo dads) and my wife had no money to hire a lawyer and barely spoke english. His lawyer threatened to have her deported after court that day if she didn't agree to give him primary custody and everything but a pile of shite car. She was a green card holder, so it was a bluff, but she didn't realize it and agreed so she wouldn't be completely separated from the kids. It was a huge uphill battle for us to get back to 50/50 custody.

After the divorce, he advanced from pill addict to meth addict and recklessly killed her son and maimed her daughter for life and the courts didn't give a frick, because he escaped criminal charges when a grand jury failed to indict him for negligent homicide due to lack of evidence. Evidence we later uncovered after the STOL ran out. Only then were we able to get 50/50 and he still got primary residence because he's physically stronger than my wife and was able to pick her up out of her wheelchair. The whole thing was all about the two lawyers making a deal and getting the judge to sign off, had nothing to do with the court actually deciding which parent is better. He managed to get clean after the "accident", so they wouldn't hold the drug addiction against him.

He's a reclusive narcissistic sociopath that has never accepted responsibility and cut off my mentally disabled stepdaughter from contacting her mother the moment she turned 18. Now that she's a legal adult the courts will do even less of nothing.

The entire system is incredibly fricked up and the best interest of the child has little bearing on what actually happens.

Even if the BS you said, were true, better their net worth increase by hundreds of millions in business deals, than Democrats shoveling billions into leftwing NGOs that turn around and fund more Democrats.

The Democrat party is an absolute cancer.

A Kamala presidency would have been an absolute disaster.

I will be dead before I ever vote for a scum bag Democrat. I can't stand most Republicans either, but will almost always vote for them, because that gives me the most power to keep a Democrat out of office.

Maybe not, from the perspective of confiscatory tax collectors, the income tax increase is a dumber avenue to take. Sure they might rope in folks with big W2 income, but most of the ultra wealthy and even 1099 folks probably have very little if any personal income. All of their income and expenses are routed through corporations, trusts, and stock/bonds. Very little of that is likely based in an idiotic blue state like Hawaii.

That's the insulation that Democrats have in the DC Courts and one of many reasons they have near impunity from consequences of illegal acts and corruption.

It's more than that, they knowingly lie because it's effective. Low information voters see their mindless narratives in headlines and that's all it takes to change a mind. There's no downside to lying for them, because no one on the left has any moral or ethical boundaries.

The problem is American left wing ideology is almost entirely based on lies. The Democrat party would be irrelevant if they didn't have a stranglehold on propaganda, academia, entertainment, and censorship for the last century.

It's created a bubble, where leftists don't believe anything from outside that bubble. Even in the new world of social media and a freerer X/twitter, they still manage to encapsulate themselves in left wing propaganda baed on lies and twisted narratives.

You can argue that the right does the same, and while it's true to some extent, leftist propaganda is so prevalent in entertainment, journalism, social media, and academia, that their insane rhetoric and lies are inescapable. Everyone has left wing propaganda shoved down their throats all day every day. It's exhausting.

Furthermore, when the left does stumble across a legitimate complaint, no one on the right believes a word they say, because the left is about a trust worthy as a meth addict in a jewelry store.
