It’s really not surprising at all. There have always been sympathizers to criminals. There were women fawning over Ted Bundy, a guy who raped and killed women.

Social media just makes wild opinions spread so much easier today. On top of that people , especially women, blindly follow too much stuff without thinking.
This actually makes a ton of sense. What happened didn’t seem random or self defense at all. In the video it happens so quick it almost seemed planned. Dude was a ticking time bomb.
Yes and as I have tried to explain it is the lawyer pulling out legitimate laws for illegitimate reasons.

The letter was purposely made vague but the name, image , and likeness in this case is referring to the #5. As I mentioned Jayden was essentially claiming he owns the #5. The letter is then claiming that LSU is using Jayden’s NIL (the #5) when they shouldn’t be.
They were throwing shite at a wall and thought it would stick. It was a massive swing and miss.

The NIL stuff in the letter was essentially claiming Jayden owned the #5. That is why this has become a nationwide meme because of how ridiculous it was.
Don’t overthink it. It was no more than lawyer speak because Jayden was butt hurt. They couldn’t write a letter saying don’t use 5 because my clients feelings are hurt.

The letter is dated Aug. 5th. The same day it became public Pickett was wearing #5.
Would make sense. I heard the question and went looking for a video of lsu football Facebook and nothing was there.

Guy really doesn’t like anything leaking. There’s been a few times between spring and now where questions like this were asked and he had passive aggressive response.
Might need to make a law where blacks aren’t allowed in groups larger than 5. Only so many black allowed per square foot in public places. Y’all get the idea.

Clark by a country mile. Jayden just became the butt of jokes. Clark is a frickin weirdo.

I bet he is only saying this because a black male is being laughed at. If it was Joe he wouldn’t be saying it.
That’s hilarious. Some of these have been worth the drama.
Dang Anna this year. Caroline Bradley next year. And some people on this site think Mulkey wants to retire…
Maybe a statue and name the field after him while we are at it.
Jayden’s mom is legit his NFL manager/agent. She seems like a typical control freak woman. It’s very likely coming mostly from her.
kalshi is advertising all over the fricking place. Was watching YouTube channel yesterday and referred to it as trading in their add read. I just rolled my eyes.

There is nothing smart about it. A player can’t own a number and doesn't own the LSU brand.

As another poster joked in the main thread, maybe if he paid millions of dollars to own the #5 in LSU colors then he could have a claim.

As it stands he just borrowed the number and jersey from LSU.

I disagree. Retiring numbers is dumb, especially in college football with 100 players on a team.

The real problem is this unofficial retired crap. I agree with having a 1-3 year cooling off period if a person wins a heisman. But put them back in circulation.

Honestly if you see 5 or 9 out on the field right now after it’s been a few years, are you really thinking about the old player in the middle of a game.

Names up in the rafters and statues are more than enough. All this “muh MY jersey number” is nonsensical.
The article reads like Jayden expected no one else to use the number.

Also says the letter was dated Aug 5th. So it’s been a week but just now coming public. So LSU must have told them to pound sand as DJ is still wearing it.
This might be the most retarded shite I have ever seen and in no way shape or form would hold up in court. Absolute embarrassment for Jayden and his family.

LSU does not officially take numbers out of circulation anymore and Jayden does not own the number 5.

This is more disgusting than Angel Reese’s dumb shite.
I’ve noticed this too. I thinks it’s awesome that Hester and Flynn are doing a show together. But their show is just normal morning show nonsense. Half the time you wouldn’t even know it’s a sports show. And they let the producers talk wayyyy too much.

I listen to Ruffino too just because I’m jonesing for football and take most of what he says with a grain of salt.

I actually liked Moscona’s take on it this morning when someone asked about him not trying or developing. Pretty much said Dom is here in his 3rd year and hasn’t transferred. Not fair at all saying he isn’t working. Compared him to Al Woods who came from a small high school and just took awhile to develop at LSU but had a 10 year NFL career.

He still has 3 years of eligibility and seems like a good kid and has the talent. Let’s see what happens.
I have to imagine this is discipline or grades issue.
