re: Very optimistic about the future

I’m excited that we have a coach who has a plan and works it. Hopefully we are disciplined and AG holds his players accountable. That’s as good a start as anything. But we are rolling with sub-P4 talent on offense and until we sure up the line of scrimmage with some ball players it’s gonna be a tough to be consistent in the SEC. Not saying it won’t happen, just hasn’t yet
DNP:Coach’s Decision

Said he was late to a meeting or something. Good for SP.

Kid gives a helluva effort even as he has limited talent, and our players needed to see a guy out there giving it 100% on every second he’s in there. Especially on perimeter defense

It’s one of the reasons why I’m not sad that Marcus Davis left. I know he’s a good recruiter, but I never thought we were a very good receiving team even though we have great receivers if that makes sense. I didn’t get a sense that there was a lot o individual “coaching”the WR‘s.
I said this in another thread, but their execution is also a combination of older players and superb coaching. They lead the entire nation converting 3rd downs, they rarely ever turn the ball over, (they’ve lost only 1 fumble all year) and they are among the least penalized team in the country. Indiana is an execution machine on both sides of the ball.

They also execute at a pro level. They lead the entire nation converting 3rd downs, they rarely ever turn the ball over, (they’ve lost only 1 fumble all year) and they are among the least penalized team in the country. Indiana is an execution machine on both sides of the ball.

I was hoping Trinidad Chambers would win a ring. Great season, Rebs.

What a ball player
I asked CGPY to give the 5 Underrated Offensive Tackles in the 2026 Transfer Portal

1) Wilkin Formby – OT (Alabama)
• Profile: Multi-year starter at Alabama, started 15+ games the past two seasons.
• Why underrated: Despite strong SEC experience and size (6'7", 325 lbs), Formby hasn’t gotten as much buzz as Peak or Heard. Still, his PFF-linked recruiting and game reps suggest power and pass-protect ability that fits immediate Power 5 starter roles.
• PFF/Ranking context: Listed in the portal rankings but typically below top 3, making him a potential steal. ?

2) Xavier Chaplin – OT (Auburn)
• Profile: Junior with substantial SEC starting experience (Auburn, Virginia Tech).
• Why underrated: Constantly overshadowed by higher “top-of-portal” names, but he allowed only limited pressures and sacks in pass sets last season per PFF tracking. Has All-Conference upside in a Power 5 league.
• PFF/Ranking context: Ranked solidly in portal OT lists yet talked about far less than Peak/Heard. ?

3) Andrew Sprague – OT (Michigan)
• Profile: Starting right tackle for Michigan with PFF grade ~69+ over ~740 snaps.
• Why underrated: Youth and fog around his “do not contact” status has muted buzz. High upside considering age and experience at a big-time program. Very few sacks allowed relative to snaps.
• PFF/Ranking context: Appears in top 5 portal OT lists but doesn’t get the draft hype of other names. ?

4) Nick Del Grande – OT (Coastal Carolina)
• Profile: Mobile tackle with strong run-blocking and arc-kick technique — excels vs power rushers.
• Why underrated: Group of 5 players often gets overlooked despite good PFF grades and skill sets appealing to Power 5 teams seeking scheme versatility.
• PFF/Ranking context: Listed in extended OL impact scoring — highly productive and still available. ?

5) Jack Foster – OT (Nevada)
• Profile: Long-armed tackle with technique soundness and 6'6" frame.
• Why underrated: Doesn’t have the name recognition of top portal tackles, but PFF’s OL impact metrics show solid performance that projects well for higher-level competition.
• PFF/Ranking context: Near the top of impact scoring lists for portal linemen without major buzz. ?

Defense is all about effort and want to something that we are severely lacking along with any cohesion or semblance of a style

He doesn’t have the gravitas to coach them hard. He knows his players know how he got the job and it makes it difficult to really get after their arse in an authentic way.
