Seriously could this whole thing turn out to be a giant scam?

What I believe is a giant scam is the fact that you have doctors reporting that given five days dosage of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin and zinc has a hundred percent success and stating that the medication is best taken to prevent someone from going on the ventilator but the clinical trials in New York are only being performed on hospitalized patients. Setting the trial up to fail.

Steven Smith the infectious disease specialist has treated 75 patients that are 70 and above each with pre-existing conditions or qualifiers making them more susceptible to covid-19. Every one of them received five days dosage of hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin and zinc and none of them required hospitalization.

Many doctors have reported that once you are intubated on the ventilator the combination of hydroxychloroquine Azithromycin and zinc isn't as effective.

The largest clinical trial they are attempting is being set up for failure from the jump so that they can discredit the use of the medication. That is a travesty.

It really is appearing as if it is orange man bad no matter what. Why else would you set the trial up for failure before it even begins.

Thank the media. They are the bearer of bad news in this case. Biggest hospital in Ark. announced a week ago they were laying off staff. I guess the next time a hurricane is swirling in the gulf the media will spout potential death numbers so the government will make those five states evacuate all their citizens to higher ground. I mean, why not. We've done exactly that because of four hot spots in the entire country.

I hope your business weathers the storm and I wish the best for your family. We all are facing some messed up situations that I didn't think would happen in my lifetime.

Until the end of this pandemic...

My sister is a nurse in Texas and lost her job over this. She was able to pivot to working directly with COVID patients, so she's working again at the moment.

Mrs. Zwin is, at this moment, working a cashier line at Target. She is a "casual" speech therapist at one of the two local hospitals. She has been told there will no calls for her to come in for the next 4 weeks.

Why not convert her position temporarily into something the hospital can use?

eta: nevermind. Hospital probably isn’t going to make much doing that as this isn’t going to be a revenue driver.

Her specialty isn't necessary or even useful for dealing with this.

Did you see where I specifically said my point was not about her job?

Even if you didn’t, maybe it’s not a great idea to tell ANYBODY that lost a job they were not needed anyway (when I doubt you know what she actually does), and especially not to say it about a man’s wife that has done nothing to provoke it.

Actually 20 of them required intubation in the first 2 days. Those that made it through 5 days got better.

because the numbers are all faked

few if any people are dying except those already near death before they even caught the flu

thats why nearly all who go on ventilators are dying

And eat, breathe, drink, swallow, etc.

To be fair, I have told her the profession has some serious branding issues. What she does actually has nothing to do with speaking. Works with TBI, stroke patients, cancer, etc.

My apologies then, although that comment was really more tongue in cheek.

Meh.

I overreacted to RoleTyde, too. Just a little raw from the idiocy and feeling convicted/guilty that she’s out there right now.

The point was still made.

I'm guessing the other 499 jobs weren't essential, either.

Your emotional reaction is understandable, but her situation is reality. She isn't the only one who has lost a job, and you used her situation to make a point. Don't get upset when others do the same.
