I haven't seen any threads started on how cheap eggs are.

Everything from the vehicles themselves, to tires, to oil changes to other maintenance and repairs seems to have just skyrocketed since 2020, and there doesn't appear to be much slowing down.
My F150 is currently at 150k miles. When it got over 100k, I would every now and then think about maybe trading it in and getting one a bit newer. Then I look at the current prices, slap myself for having such dumb thoughts, and go back to hoping I can drive my current one to 250k.

We drove my 08 Sedona til about the wheels fell off.. problem was it was getting expensive and time consuming to maintain- mostly nickel and dime’ing us to death but a couple of big repairs too.
It’s hard to know when to give it up and buy new. I feel ya!

My electrical engineering prof told us that it cost $33 in parts to build a laptop.
Couple of weeks ago I heard that it costs $17,000 in parts and labor to build a F-150.
As long as diesel fuel is $5 /gallon prices are going to stay high.

If you were to wake someone up who has been in a coma for two years and you took them to a grocery store or gas station they would very likely think the Biden/Harris administration was still in office.

I don't think you understand what that word means. The word you need to think about is the word "stupid," because if you buy those drinks at those prices, that's on you. That's YOUR choice. Especially when the current vehicle has been good, and you're worried the next one could have issues.
Supposedly Ford had been having some customer complaints and issues with that 10 speed transmission, at least the first few years it was out. That's what my 2018 F-150 has. A couple years ago, I was talking with a guy who worked at the body shop at our local Ford dealership. He asked me how my truck was running, and I told him thus far it had been great. He advised I hang on to it as long as I can, because I evidently "got one of the good ones".
I would hope they've worked all those kinks out by now in 2026, though.

I always ask “How much do you pay in taxes above what you are legally required to?”
There is an analog in how much you discount things you sell (including your time) so that you are more “fair” to the buyer.

I know that lawsuit and a guy that I worked with at Campbell's that left and went to work at Coke and later joined that suit.
