Bridges you can make the argument they have a military use I get that but if a power plant isn’t civilian infrastructure then nothing is.

Again, how would you have handled wwii?
You fight to win. Artificial constraints do nothing but make that goal harder, which draws out the war longer eventually causing more death, destruction, and expense.
The best and most just war is one that is absolutely brutal with no holds barred going for the jugular at every single opportunity while never giving your opponent safe haven or a moment to breathe.
Your bullshite rules and regulations are what caused us to lose Vietnam after 20 years of pussyfooting. Are what caused us to lose Afghanistan after another 20 years of pussyfooting.
Let’s not make those mistakes again and let the war fighters fight the fricking war, Nate the fricking ingrate.

aren’t you the one constantly crying about Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine?
No. My problem with Russia is about them routinely striking apartment buildings and hospitals, not bridges and power plants.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Press conference with the military from the oval Monday. I don’t like that.

"The mountain top area on the left is where the WSO was hiding (he ejected 5ish miles northwest of there). The right area is the makeshift landing strip where they landed 2 C-130s and had 4 MH-6 Little Birds.
"One Little Bird flew to that mountain top area and rescued the WSO and brought him back to the landing strip. And of course the two C-130s' nose gears got stuck in the dirt. So after a few hours they had to bring in three AFSOC Dash-8s to fly out the rescued WSO and the 100 or so personnel involved in the op."
"The op basically cost $300 million because they had to abandon the two AFSOC C-130s and the four MH-6 Little Birds. Then the U.S. Air Force had to use multiple bombs to blow up all the aircraft they abandoned at that airstrip. And the Iranians shot down 2 MQ-9s Reaper drones.
"Luckily the U.S. suffered no casualties and we had to use multiple bombs and missiles to blow up IRGC vehicles that tried to drive up the mountain and also those that tried to drive to the airstrip."
Worth every penny.

Also, the CIA was involved in the rescue which also seems unusual. Is it possible this flight with a Colonel and CIA much more than what meets the eye?
EVERYone was involved in the rescue. It's not unusual at all. Not one bit.

Frick the Kurds too, i think its time the arab nations get more involved and we just take over Iran.
I hope if Trump bombs more stuff it get rebuilt with Iranian oil and not US tax payer money.

would any other country in the world be willing to blow $300 million to rescue one man?
The connotation of "blowing money" is to spend it carelessly or wastefully. That's not what happened.

Schools, churches and historical buildings are civilian, unless being used by military
Power plants are of military use.
Dams are also frowned upon if struck because of flooding risk to civilians downstream.

Definitely not what I meant. My other messages make that clear.

Why would they have to abandon the helos?

Then you should say what you mean, because what you said was, "We just blew $300 million bucks to save one guy."

I did say what I meant. From Merriam-Webster,
Blow
quote:
to expend (something, such as money) extravagantly
That doesn't necessarily mean what you suggested as follows:

Glad I could help instruct you in the English language.

My guess is they had enough fuel to get in and rescue the pilot but not return without refueling midair. Would’ve been too risky after the engagement. Or, the helos took damage so just blow them up like we did when we got UBL.

Wrong just flat wrong no where does it say you can’t destroy a power station.
