Remind me again. What do the Japanese think of America after we firebombed and vaporized hundreds of thousands with atomic bombs?
Using atomic bombs was us being nice. It was the humanitarian thing to do.
Having LeMay do to the entire country what he did to Tokyo, then invading, would have been orders of magnitude worse.

This not the first time a lot of money was spent on rescue. A great rescue described in the Movie "South Pacific" . Billis afloat on a life raft within artillery range of the Japs, Had hundreds of fighters circling the japanese positions while a float plan comes in to make the rescue.

Bridges you can make the argument they have a military use I get that but if a power plant isn’t civilian infrastructure then nothing is
In war, or whatever you want to call it, anything used to further your enemy’s ability to attack you, or defend itself, is a viable target.
The idea of civilian infrastructure is nothing but wishful thinking.

LOL. "Extravagant" doesn't necessarily mean "wasteful."
Good grief, this is ridiculous.

When you are forced into war, you must fight to win.
But we haven’t declared war.
If we want to blast bridges and power plants, we should declare war.
If you blow up bridges and power plants in a foreign country with no declaration of war you might be committing war crimes.

American troops and airman are fighting and at risk. Ask them if it’s a war. They are not at any less risk

What was it? A day ago that you were whining about the B1 bridge being blown up and it being a crime against civilians?
Didn't you post arguing about us blowing up civilians infrastructure when we blew that bridge?

So that little copter can hold six men. Does it has any armaments besides those men?

If the little birds fit inside the C130, that’s how they got there and how they were getting them out.
