A few months back I was on a ski lift with a liberal District Attorney from a small town in Colorado. Do you have problems in the courts with illegal aliens? He seemed offended and said they weren't illegal aliens. They were undocumented immigrants. That crossing the boarder was not a crime but a misdemaner like a traffic ticket. And they commit less crimes than the average American. I said what's the penalty for a parking ticket? You pay a fine he said. Then I asked what's the penalty for a illegal border crossing? Before he could answer I said "deportation". So, if we were enforcing the law, like you are supposed to do, we should deport every last GD one of them. Then we wouldn't have any crimes at all from that group. (I got that response from Wilkow. He mentioned it again yesterday which triggered my memory of this ski lift moment) I could see his face turning red under under his goggles but he couldn't come up with anything and just shut up. I thought I would post this so you guys would have some ammunition if you run into the same crap I d8d.

I understand empathy for people seeking a better life. I’ll never understand how educated people can think having open borders is tenable.

Wilkow is fantastic, I’ve been listening to him for 10-12 years. He’s brilliant at breaking down politics but at times will have me in tears laughing, my favorite radio show by a mile

On the Sirius XM Patriot channel, Mike Slater is way better than Wilkow.
While Wilkow is ok, his interviews are boring.

I’m pretty sure the US Code describes them as illegal aliens. You would think a DA would know the correct terminology.

Rode up with Ski Patrol in 2025, and I complained about 2021 covid skiing, and he defended the masking up outside nonsense of that time.

That’s a matter of opinion I suppose and I disagree, but that’s ok

My takeaway from your story is that you managed to make a ski lift ride into a political conversation.

Well considering that there is an Ebola outbreak currently going on it just wouldn’t be smart. I heard this morning that in Brazil they were monitoring 2 people on suspicion they might have it. I think Italy had one person that is being monitored. It’s a thousand wonders that we have not had several outbreaks of disease here the past few years.

Mine is that he exposed a leftist DA that is in favor of open borders.

Because that leftist DA isn't worried about illegal imimgrants taking his job for a cheaper wage. If there were tens of thousands of qualified lawyers, teachers, CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, etc. pouring across the border it would have been sealed tight decades ago.

Drinking Bros is far better. Wilkow was good, but Ross and Dan are far more super smart normal dudes with impolite takes. I got tired of "where another man evacuates his bowels" schtick from Wilkow before I dumped XM more than a decade ago.

A DA being a leftist shitbag in favor of open borders is definitely plausible in Colorado.

As for this story…

Sounds like you could have dick punched him but did not.

I'd have blown TF up on him.

This is a District Attorney. An "educated" man sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, and he has completely failed to read 8 U.S.C. § 1325.

I mean everything else you claim he said, is all pretty ridiculous too. But when these "legal titans" ignore the Constitution it burns me up more than almost anything.

Colorado is the liberal cesspool it has become, with exorbitant cost of living and illegal immigrant gangs taking over entire city blocks, because of people like this DA running their State [into the ground].
