re: More American women are single than ever before—and it’s costing them big money

You dont think that attitude is limiting your earnings?
Maybe? My top priority isn’t making the most money possible at this point in my life. I don’t think I’ve complained about not being paid enough money here. Of course I’d take more money but I have an actual baby and two other little kids. I’m trying to finish up a degree. I haven’t slept through the night in more than a year. I don’t want to be responsible for any additional people right now.

But dont you think that's why women make less, and not the implied they get paid less for the same work?
There are two different arguments, one that women are paid less, and another that women arent willing to work as hard in the workplace (for multiple reasons) to make the same as men.
No law fixes the second with out basically adding a productivity tax for hiring women.

Its almost like marriage is a dumb idea

Women do not manage their money as well as men. 80% of all credit card debt is owed by women. Married women who work are better off with a working husband making the big financial decisions.
The only category of men who can't handle money is NBA players. They make millions, retire and file for bankruptcy by age 50.

Don't get me started...
I'm still dealing with this with an ex and it is painful.

Society doesn't value women or children. Period.

This is why they vote for socialism.

The dumbest thing about that is that it has been illegal since around 1961.
JFK signed that bill into law.
If women were actually being discriminated against on the basis of their gender and not the fact that they don't do the things necessary to advance their careers like (more) men do, every company in the country would have been sued out of existence long ago.

No?
I get why you say society doesn't value children, as their entire worth is defined by the wishes of the mother. If the mother wants a child and I kill it in utero, I am charged with a crime. If the mother doesn't want the child and I kill it in an abortion, nothing happens.
Sounds to me like women have a hell of a lot of juice in society these days when whether a human being lives or dies legally hangs entirely on their personal feels.

This is one of the most absurd things ever said.
I would love to see you prove this statement.

And you just explained the "wage gap," which aligns perfectly with the data on it.
Nothing wring with that, btw. You SHOULD prioritize your home responsibilities. Good for you.
But then it's asinine to cry "WAGE GAP, SOCIETY DOESN'T VALUE WOMEN," when it's your own choices that create the mythical "wage gap."

You usually argue that the wealth gap doesn't exist

This applies to everything. If you act within the bounds of the law, you are not punished. If you break the law, you are held accountable. You're making an emotional argument. What another example of the child's entire worth being determined by his/her mother?

12 states have total abortion bans, including the state in which I live.
28 states have abortion bans based on gestational duration.
What other circumstances allow for women to determine whether a human lives of dies legally? Unless you're willing to admit that women hold no ability to make this determinization in a significant number of states?

-Why should it?
-Does it already value men?
-Should it?
-Does or should it value men differently than women or children?
I'm of the opinion that society doesn't value much of anything these days. History, morals, human life, community etc.
Women have & will always get more sympathy than men. And it goes throughout life, far past the point of just pretty privilege/dudes trying to get laid. To say society doesn't value women, as if they're some group of poor, disadvantaged, woe is me outcasts is comical.
