The smart Canadian premed students either to school in the USA or the Caribbean because it is easier to get rotations in the USA at a Caribbean school than a Canadian school (you have to have 12 months worth of rotations in the USA to apply for a US residency). I have several good friends from Canada that I met in medical school and residency. None of them choose to go back to work in Canada after they finished training.

Full disclosure: I’m white and have a son in med school, so I’m biased.
With that said, as you look for a doctor, especially a specialist, I would encourage you to find a young, white, male doctor. You can rest assured that bastard is immensely qualified to do what he does.

I feel like these people aren’t that far away from just kidnapping people from the prescribed groups and forcing them into these programs to fulfill DEI requirements.
