So what happens next?
If MAGA stays home in 2028, is there enough non-MAGA plus swing voters to get the GOP to a 2028 win?
Or do we end with a splintered party that neither side is big enough to win anything.

Bingo. All the rest of the candidates are milquetoast in comparison to big orange. MAGA will want someone just as mean, brash, stupid, and triggering as him and they won't be able to find that person with the current lineup. They'll sit.
The rest of the party will be trying to pick up the pieces and build coalitions of Latino voters with people who would rather throw up than sit next to an immigrant (legal or not), crypto bros with people who are against data centers, etc etc.
Plus the maps are not favorable for Rs in the near future. The party is over for the next little while.
