Not really how it works. Lots of people out there with security clearances who have never worked for the government. You have to let the fbi climb up your ahole to get one but it can be done.

There's no way it takes a fricking act of congress to remove clearance from someone who has it in perpetuity. Isn't this something the DNI could just snap a finger and make happen? I'm sure Trump would have authority to make it happen.

I’m not defending those bastards. Just pointing out what good clearance does for civilians or retired military.
