Threaten??? That should be a no brainer!
After pulling a stunt like that, theres no case couybe made to not revoke their security clearances.
In fact, anyone not working directly for the government shouldn't have security clearances.
Trump has talked about this. I'm sure he'll get around to it once his team is in place.

The big payoff is money from government contractors (board seats) and TV networks that have them on. John Brennan is a perfect example. If they no longer have access to the information, they’re worthless to those entities.
