Of course, he is being called racist, but beyond that, it is hilarious and scary that these people are your neighbors, and their vote counts the same as yours.

This is the most prudent available move for Landry. He’ll need to get the legislature to sign off on the delay, then likely call a special session. At this rate, we can have the primaries in August.

Blake Miguez must've pissed him off again.

There are morons in the Alabama thread acting like MeeMaw can't do this very same thing.

It stands to reason that we can't have an election with a map that was just ruled unconstitutional so I am not sure he has a choice

She's just another reason that I don't and will not vote for a woman.

It will be really interesting to see what happens with qualifying. New maps means new districts which means who is running against whom could completely change. I wouldn’t be shocked to see someone like Garret Graves jump in or maybe a couple candidates who weren’t doing as well as they thought choose not to requalify.

Oh heck yes. That is what must be done. No one elected in an "unconstitutional" district will be considered elected.

I voted against her in every primary. Unfortunately, she's still better than the best Democrat. It's sad the Dems can't ever put up even a marginally electable candidate.

I was so excited to early vote this weekend against traitor bill cassidy. Don’t mind waiting though if it gets rid of a Democrat seat.

This is how you play smash mouth politics

I just said this over there - seems we are under a ruling that prohibits lines to be redrawn until after the 2030 census... so; does a SCOTUS ruling not override that?
let's do what the dems would do and file a lawsuit to force them to redraw!

Kemp isn't man enough to do this in GA.

Did that very thing this morning. Was not disappointed
Most of the comments were the equivalent of this

I constantly hear people complaining about Landry, but he seems pretty good to me. He’s not perfect, but the alternative is a JBE type democrat. Alabamas governor is refusing to call a special session.

The same people that are happy that 52-48 Virginia became 10-1 virginia are going to be mad that 10% of the population that currently gets 30% of the delegates are about to get the same treatment

I mean did they expect anything different?
SCOTUS ruled last night specifically saying LAs districts were unconstitutional.
Why wouldn’t he take immediate action to redraw so that our districts aren’t considered invalid/illegal?

I believe only the house election is being postponed, not senate.
