He preemptively gave up the fight that Murrell then pushed. They could’ve delayed the new drawings but he was happy to throw graves to the wolves …

How can you hold an election with an unconstitutional map? You can't, so the votes already cast are void.
The SCOTUS opinion isn’t certified yet and the voting has already started. Votes have been cast.

I stands to reason that we can't have an election with a map that was just ruled unconstitutional
Other states should take notice. The results of the upcoming elections with the race-gerrymandered amended maps could come into question.
Is it possible that certain State elections could be nullified this cycle due to the SCOTUS ruling?

Literally doesn't mean shite considering the maps have been decided as unconstitutional. Take the L and walk away.
Secondly, i thought early voting takes place next week?

Word is that it will be by Friday, hence Landry is waiting until Friday to announce.

So, try to proceed with the current map, and I, as a citizen of LA, will sue. I am sure many will join me.

This will go back to court one way or the other no doubt.

Landry made the current map for 3 reasons:
1. As a way to pay back Cleo Fields for keeping the black church GOTV vans from running on election day allowing Landry to win without a runoff.
2. As a way to punish Garret Graves for supporting a rival candidate for governor.
3. To purposely make the districts as racially gerrymandered as possible so as to support a challenge in the SCOTUS.
Landry may be corrupt as the day is long, but he is a very competent operator of political machinery. Landry built this map to invite challenge. He built this map so that it would lose at SCOTUS in the hopes that he could get a ruling that would end minority majority districts entirely, and he got it. This is a major victory for Jeff, and one he has been setting up for a couple years.

US Constitutional prerogatives come into play. I’m not aware of anyone trying this before.
Can you please cite these so called constitutional prerogatives or are you just spouting nonsense because of ignorance

I am sure it will for some BS reason but you are still trying to cite a federal election law and have no idea if it applies to state primaries.
We have a SC ruling specifically about our map. I don't see how anyone can sue if they are forced to vote again
BTW, now that we know the early voting dates are next week, who are you alleging has already voted?

This does not affect the Senate race

There in session now, just add it to the back end of the regular session.

I find it hilarious how all the republicans governors are just having the state legislature redraw the maps whereas the democratic governors are letting their constituents make the decision. Just goes to show you, republicans really don’t care about your vote.
What a crock of shite. So newsom in California and Virginia both ignoring their own constituents and constitutionally passed districting committee is doing what the constituents want?
Yall are such liars

I would suspect anyone elected from an unconstitutional district would be nullified.
Maybe lawyers are in her ear letting her know which path to take that puts more money in their pockets.

First and Fourteenth Amendments.

I was always told it was better to have one black district rather than multiple mixed ones, resulting in diluted white votes.

Wait, what? Letting constituents make the decision? How does that work?
