Would you be willing to bet that at no time in this judges' illustrious career he has IGNORED the law and simply let people go "because"....?
I'm gonna bet if someone were to dig in this judges' history they would find MORE than one instance of the law as written being "ignored" for some reason or another....it is not uncommon.

Exactly, this dude is just a shithead who is mad this woman didnt kiss the ring. His only valid point is that the Governor put the order in place. The Governor should change his stay at home order to recommendations instead and allow for reopenings.

What does either of the above have to do with whether the Salon owner was correct to do what she did and whether the choice to try to keep her out of jail was the correct one?

They are ALL unconstitutional and no, there are no supreme court decisions that support this shite now matter how badly you want to shoehorn it in.

This was a contempt of court ruling (I mean).
The governor didn't retroactively rescind the closings nor the fines. The county judge also issued a similar order that mirrored the governor.
The AG has no interest in the proceeding.

I see it here in Baton Rouge already.
Sitting at red light at a major intersection here in town yesterday around 4 pm, there was a steady, yet busy, flow of traffic in all directions. I’d say at about 75%-80% of normal for a Thursday afternoon. It’ll be even busier today.
People have had enough. They’re seeing thru this crap and moving on, semi-dictatorial government edicts be damned.
Freedom is man’s natural state, and will ultimately win out.
